Guess the chassis (Eisen's version ;) )
« on: April 15, 2012, 12:42:01 AM »
Well, I hope Anastasius won't mind that I stole his idea for the thread-name  :P
Since my Atlas-project has been cancelled, I had decided yesterday to start a new 3D-project of one of my all-time-favorite mecha. The design is close to the original one, but I made some improvements (added smaller details etc).
Here are the first pics (shouldn't be hard to guess which mech I'll prefer  ;D)

Guess the Chassis Mk II
You have to understand the code of duty and honor that rules those who pilot these engines of destruction. Placing such an awesome weapon in the hands of an individual implies a similar gesture of trust

I should have known that it was way much too easy  ;)

Well then, I have been kinda busy today and started with the upper body parts including the arm supports. Had thought it would have been easier...

As you can see, I rarely added few details because I decided to have a look at the proportions first before I'll start detailing the armor.

Unfortunately I had been very busy during the last 2 months so there was nearly no time to work on my little project. Until today  I've overworked a few parts, made an entirely new assembly of the different parts and played a little bit with Photoshop. So, here they are...

Applying textures with Solid Edge is a ... or more like....

Thx, Romeox  ;)
Well, the Atlas has been cancelled because I'd like the Mk2 much, much more  ;D. And as seen in the Atlas' thread, I wanted to build a Mk2 before (the Atlas was some kinda side-project). And, besides that, Clan stuff is much cooler, isn't it? Maybe I'll give the Atlas another try next year after I've finished my retraining.
