I'm really looking forward to seeing the Marauder in game! It is my alltime favourite mech since I first saw it (1990-92 I guess)!
It is THE MECH in my opinion!

A Mackie would be cool :D

I like the Cataphract, that Capellan mech with loads of autocannons.

Urbanmechs would be fun just for the capability to have urbie-only battles  :o

To me the Clan Light Mechs seem to be unbalanced against the Inner Sphere: 4 Inner Sphere against 3 Clan. I was thinking there's need of a fourth clan, something like the Hellion or a Koshi, Dasher, or Hankyu added to the game. Personally, the Hankyu would be my pick

Seriously, Urbanmech IIC, or Wolfhound IIC. Because I have a hard on for both.

I'm personally dying to see how the artists will make a regular-legged mech smaller than a heavy.  The Hollander's legs are kind of funky.

I want to see the Madcat Mk2 gone more than I want to see any one mech in. Having a second line/inferior mech in as the clan's only assault is just... weird.

(For the curious, the Mk2 was some contrived thing made by M$ to capitalize off the Madcat's popularity [or something], and it was justified in canon by saying clan Diamond Shark (Sea Fox) designed and built them specifically for sale to the Inner Sphere. As such, the Clans regard them as inferior second line mechs [similar in status to the IICs and other non-omni designs]. A front line/honorable Clan unit wouldn't use them other than where there isn't another choice).

Edit: To clarify, my puzzlement is why one of the  superior clan mechs of the many available in the assault class (Such as the Executioner, Gargoyle, Turkina, Warhawk, and Kingfisher) weren't chosen over a second line mech made for a turd of an attempt at a Battletech game.

I assume the MKII was added simply due to developer choice/popular appeal.  It's their game, so they probably just stuck in the Mechs they liked/Mechs that were popular to make the mod popular.  I didn't know all that info about the MKII's background, and I can understand your distaste, but removing a fully made, fully functioning asset from the mod at this point seems like a bit of a bad idea, especially when there might not be something to replace it.

Also, who's to say whether or not they might add in more Mechs later.  We'll all just have to wait and see  ;D

Yea, I understand it's sour grapes on my behalf and removing a functioning asset has no real basis in logic (though my point on the backstory stands). If anything, I hope there's other, first line quality assaults added, as well as second line clan mechs added to the other tiers (just in example: Jenner IIC, Vapor Eagle, Black Python) to balance things out.

Unfortunately, I think part of my rage at the Mk2 is that it reminds me of some of the other persistent features that remind me of some of the (in my opinion, undesirable) features of MW4, such as poptarting (as a mass tactic), LRM boating, and a generally long-ranged, sniping sort of play in most matches (reminding me of the term 'TurretTech').

So anyhow, there, positive contribution to this thread: Mechs I'd like to see...

A legit clan assault, and second line clan mechs in the other weight classes to balance out the existence of the Mk2.

The Kodiak is also considered a second line mech, and is non-omni. (However, I do like it more than the Mk2)
