Damage modifier question. (Unused modifiers)
« on: July 27, 2012, 12:45:30 AM »
I just updated the damage modifier table and have found apparently unused damage types
The "explosion" and "fire" types are not used on any weapon, and neither is mentioned in any vehicle xml. Has someone any information regarding them?

Any idea what damage types a critical are? That might be where your fire comes from, I'd guess explosion is a 'Mech blowing up when you're right next to it, since being right next to one causes you to take damage? Just speculation, though.

aff, explosion of ammo bins  does AoE damage
Nuke  does explosion and fire?
and they don't discriminate, doesn't matter what you are
MWLL is balance: Mechs get legged, Hovers flip over, tanks get stuck and planes get eaten by the runaway

Reactor criticals is a good idea, that might just be it.
Too bad no one can really confirm it.  :-\
