Ah right. The whole DoF thing is weird anyway. r_DepthOfField = 1 on its own does have not any other effect whatsoever apparently. And g_Dof_Ironsight doesn't do an actual Depth of Field effect, it just blurs the screen around a fixed ellipse, yet it's tied to r_DepthOfField. At the same time it's not tied to r_DepthOfField, because you can have that at 0 and still have a working g_Dof_Ironsight :P

I remembered that default CryEngine has a kind of multiple viewport.
r_showrendertarget render another window of specific factor on screen.

Then r_showrendertarget=3 render another window of original image like this.


As you can see, there isn't noticeable performance difference.
