Reload is presumably the reload time for ammo-based weapons and is just a dummy value in the case of energy weapons. Or so I suspect.

Pretty sure rate is rate of fire per minute. 7.5x8 = 60, or rather, 60/8=7.5

I've checked XMLs and i feels like in game CLPL produce more heat (and damage probably) then it should. I will investigate this and post results here.

Sometimes pulse lasers pulse 4 times per shot instead of 3 (I think I have seen them pulse 5 times as well).  It might just be my imagination but when they do pulse an additional time they seem to do ~33% extra damage and heat and ~67% when they pulse two additional times.  I have no idea what causes this to happen or if it is only aesthetic and the extra damage and heat is merely my imagination.

yep, but it is not a bug, may be mistakes in XMLs. CLPL can make up to 5 pulses, but damage for those pulses work too.

I guess this is only about large pulsers.

Pulse laser solitaire can keep shooting nonstop without heat issues. Heat issues only kick in when you turn on that masc.

Offtopic; I love the masc solly <3 just waiting for the "hot"fix patch so i can play again

I seem to get the extra pulses happening more often if I am spamming the button for the pulse laser weapon group, as if the game accidentally thinks the weapon has reloaded or partially reloaded early.

I noticed also that the Cougar Prime can't handle the heat of his cLPL very good. You have to stop shooting after one or two "salvos". The Uziel E can handle his two LPL, but they are IS pulses, and the Uziel E has 6 DHS and the Cougar only 3.

I think it would blow up instandly. I tried the new Loki with the UAC20 and 2cHLL, and damaged my Heatsinks after 2 or 3 Salvos. I think 1 cHLL is enough for almost every asset because of heat.

Exactly, but cLPL is very close to cHLL in terms of heat and damage. So why do you expect from cLPL to be cool enough to be used by light with 3DHS while cHLL is ok?

Exactly, but cLPL is very close to cHLL in terms of heat and damage. So why do you expect from cLPL to be cool enough to be used by light with 3DHS while cHLL is ok?

I did some tests with the Cougar prime. Chainfire don't do the trick, but keying the two cLPLs on different mouse buttons and fire them interchangeabely does. The cLRM do a heatspike too when fired. Must try this on the Loki sometimes...
