Getting modified files error - I've so far tried uninstalling then reinstalling, still no go. Then I tried uninstalling, and deleting the leftover files, including all files in documents/my games/crysis wars. Same error. Ideas?

I should add I've installed 8.0, then installed the new patch 8.3.

Also, where is the main location everyone goes to now adays? (used to be these forums...)

To answer my own question....I found that this install was doing the same thing a few patches ago did(for 0.3.2 before wandering samurai left).

It was creating two files in my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis Wars\Mods\MWLL" folder. The fix from the WIKI page still holds true to anyone having this issue as I did, listed here:

http://wiki.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php?title=Troubleshooting#Your_MWLL_Installation_has_modified_files._Please_Revert_them_to_their_original_state_to_play.

"Two files occasionally are created within \Crytek\Crysis\Mods\mwll\ directory, which shouldn't be there and cause the issue. These are: server.cfg and levelrotation.xml. Delete them or move to \Crytek\Crysis\ instead."

Most noticeable change is the all new PPC - its been reworked to actually work :^]
(love it)
The not so noticeable change is that the game will "ask" for a tad more power from Your rig (FPS dropped about 15% for me).

- Atlas G seems fresh ("G" as GUN  8)) with it's UAC trio of 10+20+10  :o
- there is a cheap Blanner too (G?)
and Ownes 2xSSRM4 is back as starter asset again.

Here's what I have. Only really looked at mechs so far, so apologies to tank & aero folks. All comparisons are with the wiki, so it's possible one or two of the variants I'm listing as "new" were actually already in the game and just not accounted for in the wiki.

Osiris
• Osiris B now has 2x MPL, 1x Tbolt 10, 1x MRM10. No DHS or extra equipment.

Owens - no changes

Raven - no changes

Solitaire
• Solitaire B: 1x ERLBL, 2x SPL, 2x MG, TAG. 2 DHS, eOptics, MASC, iJJ.
• Solitaire D: 1x LBX10, 2x ERSBL, 2x MG. 0 DHS, +1t armour.

Kit Fox
• Kit Fox D: 1x ER PPC, 2x HSL, 1x ATM-6. 3 DHS, lightly armoured (on par with the B)
• Kit Fox E: 1x LBX10, 3x SPL, 1x DSRM4. 0 DHS, lots of armour (on par with the C)

Cougar - no changes

Adder - no changes

Chimaera
• Chimaera B has SSRM6 instead of DSSRM4

Hollander II - no changes I'm aware of.

Uziel
• Uziel B has changed its lasers to 4x SPL. Missiles, DHS, and MASC are unchanged.
• Uziel F: 3x LRM10, 2x MBL. 1 DHS, iJJ, moderate armour (on par with the C).
• Uziel G: 1x LPL, 2x ERMBL, 2x AC2, 1x SRM4. 5 DHS, eOptics, BAP, moderate armour.

Bushwacker
• Bushwacker F: 1x ER PPC, 1x LBX5, 2x ERSBL, 2x LRM10. 1 DHS, 1 LAMS.

Shadow Cat

• Avatar C has had one of its SRM6 downgraded to an SRM4
• Avatar D is back to its original loadout (AC20, 3x MPL, 2x DSRM4)
• Avatar E has swapped its lasers around - it now has 6x ERMBL and 2x MRM20. 6 DHS, eOptics, MASC.
• Avatar G completely different: 2x PPC, 2x ERMBL, 2x LRM15, 5 DHS instead of 3. Still has AECM.
• All variants are slower (64kph) and have more armour (mostly 12 tons, but the F has 14)

Thanatos
• Thantaos C has 4x SPL in place of the 4x Flamer. Otherwise unchanged.
• Thanatos F now has an LBX10 and one additional DHS in place of its AC10. Otherwise unchanged.
• Thanatos G now has an MRM 10 and one additional DHS in place of its LRM15. Otherwise unchanged.

Mad Dog - no changes

Hellbringer
• Hellbringer F: now has 3x ERMBL instead of 5x - has used the extra space for two more DHS, GECM, and extra armour (on par with the D).

Summoner - no changes

Nova Cat
• Nova Cat B: 3x LPL, 1x DSSRM4. 11 DHS, MASC, GECM, eOptics.
• Nova Cat D has lost its HSL and SPL and gained two more DHS (for a total of 19)

Timber Wolf
• Timber Wolf E: 2x ER PPC, 2x ATM-12. 8 DHS, eOptics, GECM, slightly better armour (on par with the G).
• Timber Wolf G: 4x HSL is now 4x SPL. Otherwise unchanged.

Awesome
• Awesome B now has 4x MPL and 2x UAC10. 5 DHS, GECM, moderate armour (on par with the C).
• Awesome D now has 2x LPL, 1x LBX10, 1x MRM30. 7 DHS, eOptics, poor armour (on par with the E).

Mauler
• Mauler A: 1x UAC20, 1x Gauss, 1x LRM15, 1x DSRM4, 2x SBL, 2x SPL. 3 DHS, eOptics, good armour (on par with the F). Nicknamed "Two-Face".

Fafnir

Take with a grain of salt, but should be reasonably accurate. I'll look through the vehicles and flying assets tomorrow if people like.

Getting back into MW:LL after a long hiatus.

Loaded up a local server and was testing out Autocannons and have to ask, what happened to them?  I remember AC/2's and AC/5's firing crazy fast back in 0.7 or hwatever it is was, but now they fire at an un-fun slow speed.  The Ac/10 and Ac/20 also had some real nice bassy boom sounds in the older version :(.

The AC/2s and 5s fire slowly because they were never good at shooting down aircraft and burst weapons are better at shooting ground targets because you can turn your torso sideways to prevent people from shooting your center torso. Then once the guns have recycled you can turn towards your target and shoot again.
