Is this thing ever coming to PC?

If they follow the trend they usually do, it'll be about 9-12 months after the console release, but who knows.

Waiting for my copy from amazon. So...what kind of computer are you trying to run with it? For what I heard it has very steep requirements.

I'm not running it.  I have been reading accounts from various forums on the Net regarding users running very high end machines not being able to run the game very well.  There were some posts stating that RockStar advised running the game on medium to improve performance.

perhaps good news:

Today Rockstar Games got in touch with us, and they would like to assure fans that they are working to help solve the issues with GTA IV PC as quickly as possible. They advise anyone that is encountering difficulties to contact their local technical support helpline for advice and recommendations. These telephone numbers can be found in the game’s manual. You can also refer to Rockstar's support site, which provides regularly updated technical information and solutions to common problems, including a complete list of error codes, and some advice on how to use the graphics settings.

it simply won'T run on an ATI Graphics Adapter as of right now.
and even with nVidia, there's problems that simply should not be.
looks like they released the beta as finished product again . . .

i won't be playing this, GTA ended with Part2 for me . .
no motorbikes driving up stairs and jumping from rooftop to rooftop?
that did not sit well with me . .

Right you are ... last thing I played was GTA2 too. And multiplayer ... excessive multiplayer during hourlong, super boring school classes with my friends :P

You can drive up stairs and onto buildings with motorcycles in every GTA with the exception of 3. Still waiting on my copy of GTAIV. Hopefully I won't run into any of those issues that have been going around. As for ATI XD I never get ATI products...

as i said, even nVidia users complain about crashings and the such.

That's weird. I played for a little while. The bowling doesn't work, and I locked up playing pool, but other than that I haven't had any real performance issues. On High with Medium textures and the recommended draw distances I sit around 40 fps and drop to 28 at worst. I really don't like the first person car textures, they're too blocky, but other than that, it seems ok.
