The C-bill system is one of those things that is going to have to be tried and tested in the field to be proven.  Hypothetical economic models have this way of behaving in unpredictable ways in the wild.  I would say, just give yourselves enough elbow room to change things as needed, and then make adjustments along the way.  Alternatively, you could just give players 100% control over their assets and see what happens.

I hope this means the high-end equipment actually takes work to get by yourself then.

Definitely.
The very general layout so far suggests that if you're good enough to rack up enough cash for Assault Mechs in an average round on your own, you wouldn't actually need them ;)

Or let players chose how much of their paycheck they wish to pool on another player and add a cap of how much they are able to transfer. Like 50% of the paycheck. For one thing the commander gets cash faster and even players still get some money to at least buy a tank or something :D

That's not actually planned so far.
We'll be required to enforce restrictions to prevent abuse of the system, but the amount of cash you donate will mostly be up to you.
The only restriction I personally see us implementing so far might be that one is not allowed to donate the initial spawn cash.

After reading all the stuff I wonder if wouldn't be better and simpler if you allow the players take whatever they want to play at spawn, ignoring money. Economics is fine for units and leagues, but def. is not friendly for "instant play" IMO.

On the other hand, "anything vs anything" maps looks OK (perhaps a bit crazy) but, to what point will the infantry, eles, tanks or whatever be an opponent among themselves and for mechs?

If infantry are being set aside for right now, then will all players spawn with battle armor by default? (at least for the time being)
If you NARC it, they will come...

Yes.

As a tangent to this topic, will it be possible for map makers to create maps with prepopulated equipment?

If you've played with sandbox then you know you can. It's a drag and drop operation.

If, at any time in the future, you intend to expand the game to include a planetary league, will it be possible to purchase equipment for an entire element (lance, company, regiment, binary, trinary, galaxy), and anything not destroyed on the field will be recovered for that unit to utilize again, and also with lock assignments for specific pilots?

Too far in the future and too much "maybe" to comment on that. It is possible that a mod version very far in the future will support this.

I'd go with a no on that actually AoP. If we were doing anything that be I'd consider it an MMO and if we're going to attempt that I'd rather do it on a full scale professional level. And before THATS asked, no that is not our current plans (at LEAST as far as I'm concerned).

Hm, guess that's a matter of personal preference. While I second that a true MMO would require something entirely different, I personally don't really see those suggested features require a large MMO setup tbh.

If thats the case, could you make it so that you can either do an individual purchase or a team purchase? This way if your a team leader and need to buy a team asset for someone else on your team to use you can. Or you can purchase your own that only you can use.

Right now, it's supposed to be possible to pool money on one player so they can go and buy bigger and heavier gear. I know it's not exactly what you're asking for, but we believe it is usable in that way and it doesn't necessarily have to be the teamleader who buys the expensive stuff.

about pooling money/C-bills, can it be done by voting a specific individual of your team [*me*]... then again if I can switch teams during gameplay, what will the others of "my team" say [shoot me obviously] and is there any penalties against such ???
