Late jump in?

It seems to me i jumped in too late since servers are empty...and the game looks so great :( is there anything like peak time, when i may come across some players during the day? And pls if so, state what time zone you are reffering to along with the actual time :D

Check there your best chance to find players. Shouldn't be hard.
Tools and I:
   - MWLL Online Launcher (LAN UDP Forwarder) - evolution of past "Le Proof of Concepto" project: connect without Gamespy via packet redirection;
   - Vehicle Browser - "Pocket Wiki" ©okaolias (not really that though);
   - Rconnect 4.3 - Server tools: map manager/player voting add-ons;
   - CryHammer - Validates Patch/CDKey of Crysis Wars (now unable to validate CDKey due to turned off Gamespy servers).

But according to those stats, there was barely a game in entire August. This sucks. :(

That's because the stats don't work anymore - since the Gamespy Master Server went down I cannot scan the servers anymore (with the method I used to at least).

I already made a post about our new stats page at mbl.bks.ca, which is working now, but apparently no one read it  ::)

Stats are back up and running. HAARP pointed me to use Wireshark in order to determine how qtracker is actually scanning the server and that helped :). I should have thought of that before :P

So you're ignoring GameQ's original method of checking the servers now?

No I am still using GameQ, but I fixed its code to accomodate for what I found out - which is:

If a server responds with a challenge ID of "0", the next request actually has to be

Code: [Select]
FE FD 00 WW WW WW WW FF FF FF 01
instead of

Code: [Select]
FE FD 00 WW WW WW WW ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ FF FF FF 01
(where Z would be the byte encoded string containing the challenge ID usually)

Nice to know. Its quite useful having those stats nowadays, to know which server to join/expect people.
