Hello all!

I am announcing a 2v2 tournament today. It will run on weekends (which particular day will be decided by whether I work that day or not) and run until its conclusion.

First off, don't be worried about not being able to find your opponent on large maps, as Finalizer has been so kind as to convert the SA maps into TSA maps, so we will get instant mech action! I might include one small TSA map to be friendlier to the longest range bracket.

Here are the rules:

10 Team Round Robin to determine seeding for a 8 team Tournament.
15 minute round limit. Each team will have 2 minutes to prepare and buy in between rounds.
No repeating variants throughout the tournament.
2v2
Best of 1 in Round Robin Stage.
Best out of 3, best out of 5 for the finals in the Tournament bracket stage.

Mechs only
Daishis and Fafnirs are banned
There are four weight limits, one of the four will be selected for each round in each match. The four weight limits are (70t,105t, 140t, 170t).Teams will be told before hand what the weight limits and maps will be for each round.
Legging allowed, ejecting not allowed.

The Maps are TSA_(Broken)Vista, TSA_Jungle, TSA_Helgate, TSA_Glory,  and TSA_ForestValleyV2.
Here are the SA TSA conversion maps UPDATE Replace the TSA_Vista from the package with this one
Server: BKS Canada or Star's private server for Russian matches.

Teams can consist of 2 or 3 players (2 players and an alternate).

Particular matches will not be scheduled, instead everyone who can will show up on a certain day and time and we will play through matches based on who is there at the time. If time drags on and certain teams are a noshow for several weeks, they will auto forfeit.

Times: Weekends (19:00-23:00 GMT)

Yes, I will provide them when Finalizer is done and have them on autodownloader on the server.

The maps are identical with their SA counterparts with one exception, there will only be two hangers instead of many, on opposite sides of the map.

This is what I wanted to do, True Team Solaris Arena.  Would be fun with 3v3 or 4v4 as well, good job Vict. :) :)

I am interested.  If anyone feels like they might want someone to play with you can always reach me via PM on here (or PM on the http://wolfsfreelancers.enjin.com site, as long as that's up and kicking).  I may not be the "best of the best", but I'd wager that playing with me on your team is certainly better than a Clan Gauss slug to the nuts.

HAHA TIEM 4 MAPS

Jungle & Glory have two hangars per team, rest have just one. I request folks run through the maps and try some matches in 'em just to make sure there isn't anything funky. Repair/ammo bays are still on the maps, though may be removed at Invictus' discretion.

You want to make this tonnage-based instead of CBill-based? There will be a lot of Clan-vehicles (esp. Madcats, Novacats) and the usual high price/low weight assets. Although, I don't quite understand "No repeating variants throughout the tournament", that could have a small to medium impact on the problem.

Bushwackers, Thannies, Fafnirs (not applicable here, but in general); IS has plenty of good toys to play with. Ain't no problem there. No repeating variants means once you use a variant, you never use it again throughout the tourney. So if you use all your SWEET CLAN TECH from the get-go, you'll probably be hurting down the line if other teams have been more reserved with their asset usage.

Its 2v2 event, just look at number of caln mechs. And is not a question that clan mech have advantage with same weight (Hollander vs Scat, Ryoken VS Bushy, Warhammer vs Nova). So basically if you want to win you not gonna use IS tech. I'd like to see price based rules as well, clan meta is boring.

How about introducing both weight and price based rules at the same time? (70t max, 100-110k max spent etc)

What about banning Ryo B, Cougar F, Scat A and Madcat G? Banning the best Clan brawlers would force people to take more IS assets...
