I have that game (got a super shiny Cutlass Black :P), but I'm waiting for the REC system to be fully implemented before starting to play seriously.
Also, my GeForce 480 just says "NOPE, I'll NEVER get over 20 fps!". Hope the Radeon 280 I'll get next Monday will be better :S

20gb download for a single hangar, fighter, and training arena?  No wonder the whole thing is gonna be more than 100gb.

Yeah at my connection speed I'd get 45 minutes of playing it before the offer ran out.

i'd get it down fast with 50MBit/Sec, but Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous are just not my cup of tea.
They look pretty damn sweet though . .

Nah I'm gonna wait until it goes gold and then go in. If it lives up to half the hype it will be well worth the full price.

Well, at least they are actually doing stuff like that.
It's the closest to a Free Demo i have seen in a long time.

Well they gotta keep that moolah flowing in some how.

But yes, I agree, good for them, lovely.

Now if only I could stipulate in my payment whenever it comes that absolutely none of it is to go towards Defender, in actuality it should go towards harassing him. Ideally sexually; with an Irish Wolf Hound.

I've got... uh a pretty good number of ships. :-P But from the numbers, it looks like this free fly week was very well implemented.

I still need a decent PC before I can start to play this thing. R9 280 is OK, but had to RMA it because the CPU is bottlenecking too much :/

Steam has been doing the thing where they let you play certain games for free over a weekend for as long as I can remember.
