i could log in, but for some reason i only played in that server. once the server changed map, mw:ll downloaded it, and then it was stuck at 100%, loading i guess. now i everytime i connect to a server it either downloads a map and gets stuck there, or it says cannot connect to server.

i tried editing the hosts file, it doesnt let me save it.

Yes, happened the same to me, and only with RDL Server's autodownloader links. It happens because the maps must have been packaged in a bad way. If you download the same map from Funbox you'll have no problems.

happy to read that im not the only one! i tried connecting to a funbox server, only to have the same problem: it downloads the file,gets to 100%, but then it says "there was an error with the download, download again" and its stuck like this in a loop.

Well, sometimes Funbox goes full retard and "tells" your game that it must load a different map than the one which is actually loaded on the server. You should wait until the server changes map.

I often get faults with the auto downloader. Worst case is go to the CJW map repository and download the map manually, then unpack it and move the map's folder into the right directory which should be something like:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis Wars\Mods\mwll\Game\Levels   that will show TSA, TC or SA folders.

@m1ko:
alternative download site (RDL maps)
http://cq.mwmaster.net/maps
alternative configuration(s)
http://forum.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php/topic,20557.0.html
  ::)
manual downloading most of time works faster than map-revolving IMHO  :o
