And provide proof of it.

And all You did is went hot air so far.

The sheer insurmountable mass of smattering and dangerous half knowledge here is mind-boggling. I can only advise to take not a single instruction out of cests mouth seriously. It hurts to just look at the procedures being suggested out of pure unadultered ignorance.

Then put him right dude, don't just point the finger.

As Silver said, we could expand the player pool through something like this.

He isn't pointing fingers, he's calling names

And be it known, the devs seem to oppose this game being played on Linux?

Don't be a tart C'est, Haarp's an authority on Linux and frankly someone I'd personally to listen to his advice on anything computer related than compared to yourself. Bad advice will cause more harm than good and if he's called attention to your methods you'd be better suited in finding out what you've done to catch his ire than pouting.

And air You did

All you seem to show looks like plain old envy for someone doing it easy what You consider being ardous effort?

We had fun
We made it work
If being asked we show what we did
And provide proof of it.

And all You did is went hot air so far.

So we are dangerous and You are prince Valliant?

I'll give a quick summation of how I imagine Haarp felt upon reading this truly scathing remark:

I'll only say this once, reel your neck in. It's not an ego contest, whilst I appreciate what you're attempting to do here, you are not going to win any favours by acting like you're the moral high ground just because someone's lain some criticism at your doorstep. Haarp's contribution to this community is very long reaching and not even worth questioning. So take your bruised ego and repackage it, as I said before the goal is to help others.

I could put him right, but that would involve work. Wouldn't have been a problem in the past, but I've grown weary. The very least I could do, and did, was air my displeasure at the cargo-cult methods being displayed in this tutorial.

That wasn't helpful though dude, and whilst I know MWLL isn't a prime interest of yours any more, turning the screw on someone who's very easily wounded is going to do more harm than good (remember how frequently resources vanished when our other passionate expert got called into question?). I'll talk to you some more about it some other time, perhaps once there's an article up on the wiki for this. With any luck it won't take too much effort for you to write/edit the article so it's less incline to cause someone to give up the entirety of their anus to the travelling carnival.

Relax @Bill, the fire is out
(LoL puns inavoidable with my nick, I guess, not intended)
I had a chat with Wraith, in the meantime, see 1st post (or ask Wraith).
@HAARP
While good Intentions would justify Your action, the result could've easily made it another brick the road to hell is pawed with?

Hopefully the harm is contained?

Next time, please just PM me, It would had sufficed to ask me to wait until privately explained?
B)

edit: clarify what chat and when

Oh Bill you lovable squid, your inky tentacles spread the fragrance of mediation.

But I concede. I could and should've approached this in a more civil and friendly manner. Yet it's funny to watch how I'm being accused of being "against Linux". I couldn't decide whether to be flabberghasted or amused.
don't bother sending me PMs, I probably won't be reading them in time.

[snip]Yet it's funny to watch how I'm being accused of being "against Linux". I couldn't decide whether to be flabberghasted or amused.
Nowhere did I write its You, of the devs, who are opposing playing on Linux.

To clarify further, it isn't that they oppose it really.

One particular developer refuses to endorse Linux gamming as an official way to part take in this mod's community while others seem to sheephishly agree by mute contend?

Other than that, apologies accepted, we move on.
