Why no mPPCs?

I think that by default the defenders should get something like a Raven or Chevy some other electronics heavy asset. Maybe a fixed asset list for the defenders?

It's because extra players are extra and mPPCs are the best weapon BAs have available. I was hoping the extra players would defend the APCs and not be a super offensive thing, going out and hunting enemies with the PPC.

We need to test this as soon as possible!

Few things come to mind when reading that document...
Low player count has very low tonnages. Is that to prevent APC from outrunning attacking heavy/assault stuff?
Can we have different target assets/tasks like escort pre-damaged asset?
Map list is very limited. Small/medium map should be tested with slow assets.
Flying things, hovercrafts and scout mechs have huge advantage in this type of action.
Current BV may not show asset true potential in this type of mission.

Could this be used between CM drops (like those old time 2v2 fights were used)?

Sounds really interesting and I agree with the judgement about mPPCs for extra players.

I like it.

One thing that could be annoying: the APC Drivers just drive and fire MGs. That seems boring at some point. It can be stressful and fun when the circumstances are right, but I guess people would lurrrve some more action. Thoughts?
Did anyone ever see MGs kill anything? But BA?

Other than that, very nice.

Should I ever be listed at the top of my team, then we have a serious problem.

We tested it out on Sunday and driving APCs was interesting enough. It doesn't sound like fun, but if you've played any survival horror games where you don't get any weapons then you get the same feeling from driving an APC, LOL.

The low tonnage is because heavy weaponry tears through APCs super fast. I don't want a pair of Scat B's MASCing in and blowing up the APCs before anybody even notices.

Yes flying things get a major advantage, that's why it's restricted to BV 1 aircraft that are 30 tons or less (Hawkmoth, SparrowHawk, and Donar). In that way they serve mostly as scouts and are unlikely to be able to kill very many APCs before they get to their final location.

We could ignore any metagame effects the escort missions and just play them as interludes between matches. I wouldn't have a problem with that. If it seems like it would be fun, we can integrate it. Either way is OK with me.

I wish you would not play on Altanta (sic) Server..

gotta play some time again.. *grumble*

Yeah, if the people that drive love it, there is no problem. I could see myself in one. Perhaps trying to flak some flies.
