The 2x CERLL, 2x CERML, 1x CNarc? Not that I'm aware of. That beast has gone the way of the AC/20 Osiris and the Dodo.

Thief gameplay + Doom3 engine = The Dark Mod

Time to jump the fray?

Currently (0.8.2) there are few spotters (and we had quite few LRM fests lately):

I tend to open with Owens prime:
2x ML 2xLRM5 TAG

for it's good backup of ML and comparably powerful armor. (Also it is capable to engage targets beyond 1400m currently)

As soon as practical (read -killed) I try to swap to Owens D:
2x XSPL 2XSRM6 TAG

for it more securely supports my money printing campaign  ;)
Therefrom I wait to accumulate enough for Clan mediums:

Enter Shadowcat D
ATM(HE) ATM(ER) cNARC (with free tons)

While not impressive at firepower, I-JJ and MASC allow it to evade and escape quite dense fire, while deploying NARC
Even more so by spare tons of NARC missiles

Excellent Black Lanner D:
3xSPL LPL LRM10 and NARC

While lacking anything but MASC, it really packs punch and quite often so
And best ever pest: Black Lanner G:
3xMG ERLBL LRM10 LRM15 TAG
You name it and it has it: C3, MASC, E-optics, top speed 166kph - doesn't get any better than that...
And I tellin'ya boy, if this one had any jump jets, Bat-man would certainly acquired one for its avid collection!

as lately clan LRMS fire with a slightly upwards ark, they are able to damage at point blank, adding quite some close quarters protection for clan LRM boats.

But i had best results with teammates using Arrows *_*

At 80k + 1k for ammo, the Ryoken B might as well get slotted in as the premium upgrade to the Scat A on the 80k bracket

I was thinking about the Scat the other day
Figured.

Forgot the Warhammer Prime for it's price bracket (twin PPC brawler = night hunter)

And the Bushwacker C - sub 60k  mid range brawler (UAC10 is en par with LBX20 DPS wise, even surpassing it!)
 ::)
this game just never gets old?

edit: price of Bushwacker  50k-->60k:/
Warhammer Prime is poop as it is a heavy with low cost -> feeds free score/cbills while not doing enough to justify this drawback. Same problem as Catapult Prime. I'd rather buy a RAC/PPCAC20 Bushy.

Havent tried Bushy C but it looks OK

Also added my 2 cents on ASF + Vtol

Warhammer prime is intended to counter medium mechs. outside of that, I agree it lacks performance.
But at said price, hardly anything has comparable armor?

The Bushwacker C, sports the UAC10, which tops the damage of an LBX20, let alone an AC20, so go figure ;)

Both Whammy Prime and Catapult Prime are very troublesome assets as they provide nothing for being heavies. Bushy, Ryoken only have -1 ton of armor compared to Warhammer Prime while having superior firepower, movespeed and the Catapult... It's just sad :).

All this while you consider the feeding bonus $$ to the enemy. Noobs see a cheap heavy, of course they buy it (big is best) but they just end up feeding even more cbills to the enemy while slowing their own rank progress. I think cheap Heavies have no place in this game with the current eco. Rifleman is OK because it actually provides something to the field (quad uac melts, 4xer larges is excellent AA). Oh and they also cost more than the shit Warhammer and most Catapults.

TLDR all cheap heavies loadouts should be buffed and cost increased to 70k+.

I'm mostly in agreement with you, but I will say in groups with good coms they can be moderately effective for their price point. But in the pub environment you're totally right.

Perhaps a readdressing of how the ticket system works might be an idea along side another look at the economy?

The WHammer prime, besides cheap is a dogs dinner of a mech:

Low price for low performance, yet yield a heavy ticket for it's demise.

It should have been made less lack luster? maybe buff it up to next price bracket?

The Bushy prime has it pub role in large formations and at a range too, alone it is simply a no go.
Much better the Bushy C (and cheaper tho)

Remember, the internal structure is also counting towards health values.

So the Warhammer Prime has 3.5 extra tons effective armor over the bushwackers.

It would be sensible if ticket cost followed asset/variant pricing instead of arbitrary values per chassis.
don't bother sending me PMs, I probably won't be reading them in time.

I think the Whammy Prime also suffers a kind of "psychological" disadvantage. I mean it's a heavy that's available quite early, when most of the players are still riding in lights, so you're like 'Well, fapp yeah, I can brawl five of those little fappers!'. And then you die, because of course you don't, it's not that good.

At least that's my experience, when I think about the times I played the Whammy P. I'm a megalomaniac bastard though.

Cut that to 3 lights and hes golden
provide the ticket on his head gets nerfed to top of medium class?

The Bushy C while 3.5tons of guts less -to whittle around, has a weapon with a damage topping that of an AC20  :o

The prime needs a weapon buff IMO (slight one tho) but the two PPC stay! maybe some MGs, or IDK...?

Absolutely no-no to megaguns. HS->DHS so we can up those smalls and maybe even more armor
