Hey you posted a link haha  :P

It looks pretty fun, reminds me of Nebulus (or am I being too old?).

I'm probably older than both of you think I am.

But at least I can talk about 8bit home computer games with a decent chance that some of you have played them.

(I am too old now!).

I've no idea what you meant tbh, but let me just say this:

Pacmania was alreet, not my favourite as at the time I thought it was a rip off of Ant Attack (I was a kid and that generation of arcade stuff had passed me by mostly, that and I'd never seen an Atari) not sure what you mean by m.m, Mindmaze?

And yeah BASIC, I was fluent at one point. Used to write my own little games and tried to make demos (no chance, I didn't understand enough about the hardware at the time).

Ooh retro stuff!

One from my childhood:

* TAPE
CHAIN "ELITE"

I played the first Elite on a BBC Micro and that was it until 1997 when I got a PC with Mechwarrior2 for the Matrox Mistique :D I had a lot more games on the BBC on 5 1/4" disks. I also had a very brief go a programming in basic with some of the books that came with the BBC but never did much.

Where they 740k or 1440k 5.25" floppies? I actually had a two side drive but one could broach a notch on the other side of the floppy and go two sided for the price of one ;)

I first saw Matrox Mistique in late 90s, as 2nd hand PCs from abroad...

The days of MW2 where ruled with S3 Savage and Voodoo's from 3dfx, with an occasional Trident or Hercules

Matrox-es where "too expensive" for us then...

I remember they were made by Verbatim and were in little paper envelopes, they also think they said double density on them but I cant remember anything else.

Eeeh the mid to late 90s for gaming, I forgot about Savage! I remember getting a Voodoo 3dfx card and being impressed with Blood2:The Chosen looking so much nicer!

wait a moment!

Voodoo was a pass through accelerator - one would be required to own a discrete VGA card, and the voodoo would piggyback it's signal?

or was it Voodoo?
