Will it be released on consoles? Rumours for the latter are still going strong, but we're sure all we be revealed when magazines blow their scoops in the next week...

I remember seeing some code comments in the SDK code regarding something working properly on XBOX. In addition, about 6 months ago Crytek was advertising a programmer position in which one of the requirements was "2 shipped titles on consoles". They also said one of the reasons they were stopping support was the pirating on PC's.... My bet is yes on a console game based on the same engine.

I actually found Psycho annoying throughout the game.  Why switch protagonists for the sequel?

Something is really starting to stink at Crytek  >:(

I'll wait and see what they have to say before shooting my mouth off LOL But going on the history of the last several months, I pretty sure they're just going to do more to piss me off.

What annoyed me the most was how all of them acted. They are supposed to be US Marines and as a Marine myself... if that is how Marines are going to act in 2020 then the Corps REALLY lowered their standards!!!

This shouldnt be a surprise to any one. They said long ago that EA pulled key devs away from the project before it was finished in order to work on consoles. From there i guess they just decided not to finish it and publish it "as is" in that oh so  trendy EA fashion. It has allot more to do with making extra money across multiple platforms than it does with pirating on the PC. Its very likely that EA saw Crysis was an awesome looking game and wanted to turn it into their next cash cow. And thus the situation we have now. It has yielded an unfinished game for us now and will mean longer wait times for future titles. Im also expecting the new installments to be much more rushed and to have dumbed down game play with uninspired story. It will get the same treatment all of EAs games get, just get it done and spend less money because it will sell the same either way.

I was in the Army, but my son in law is a USMC first sergeant.  Does that get me some creds? ;D

I hope for the sake of MW:LL and PC gaming that this is an expansion which fixes most issues in the mean time. But seeing the facts and previous news this will most probaly be a console version.

I don't play much Crysis multiplayer (actually, none at all anymore) and was wondering what issues are still left that everyone is up in arms about?

Its not a sequel as per say, its not a prequel, its a paralell story line to Nomads, except this time you are seing things form Psyco's POV.

The only thing that bothers me is the cheaters with their stupid ass aimbots and mass kill crap. Other than that I don't have a single problem with it. Just like anything else people will complain no matter what you do.

The difference is just: other games are being played by thousands of people. That suggests that this time, the complainers can't be completely wrong.

That is true... but I didn't see any contract statement in Crysis saying they would release at least x number of patches... in fact, I don't think I have ever seen any game come with a guarantee of patches. Everyone should know that when you buy a game, what you see is what you get. Anything on top of that is gravy. They don't have to buy the product.

Don't get me wrong though... I think it sucks they aren't releasing a 1.3 patch or supporting the original Crysis game any longer. I think Crysis could have been better in a lot of ways. But can I fault them for it? Not really... they have to eat too.
