Artisticly its a complete shambles, but in an environment like that, that is what the lighting would be like, and i had to underlight in because i couldn't afford indirect lighting because it pushed the render time too high and otherwise it was almost pitch black..
What renderer are you using?
In another thread I believe he mentioned Blender.

Hey I was wondering if this mod would consider using some concept mechs.

The reason I would even think of this idea is that we can all think of something that would be a little bit more modern then some of the mechs here. I look mostly at the armored exterior on the mechs and think could have that been more sloped or rounded to better deflect damage?

Could we take examples from today's armor and apply it to a mech model?

Would it make sense for a mech to have hands to engage in close combat (use edged weapon) or used to wright itself if it falls? If so can the mod support a melee attack?

What about additional missile pods that fire from the back of the mech insted of to large box targets on each side?

How about using larger arm or hand held based weapons? Or a main gun for massive damage?

What about implementing a elemental into a mech for extra firepower and survivability?

Heck what about some better tracked vehicles that can actually cause a problem for a mech? I mean heck, when I have played the entire mechwarrior series tanks, hover vehicles, and the like were noting but a speed bump on the way to an objective.  How about something with some balls?

Any ideas guys?

JT Kirk did the Mech models himself (if I´m not mistaken)

He made all of those?

Yes i did build most of them, we actually used them to play CBT outdoors with 10 inch hex's and marked tape measures.

Hi JT, glad to see you back on the forums!

You ever play around with one of those 3D package we were all talking about when you were around before?
*eager to see what a master modeller like you can do with the 3D programs*
Damn, said that out loud!  ;D

the templar is one of my favourites, it looks great with the left torso armour panels off showing the internal skeleton and components. i had a lot of fun making that one.

its inception was unusual too, i had just removed the black plastic base off a plastic coke bottle, and noticed the bottom had those 5 dimples/feet. i could "see" the cockpit glass shape in one of these dimples, so it got built from there, started with the clear plastic canopy, and built the rest around that
