So crim, are you still going to work on the mod or does your job with crytek interfere significantly with that? I'm just curious.

ToeBall's dead right.  Most likely, Crim is under not only NDA but has signed a proprietary information agreement.  I had to for my secret clearance PC job; I can tell you I have a secret clearance PC job, but anything else over the internet and I would have to find you and kill you. :D

Anything Crim works on for Crytek would, obviously, have to remain solely in Crytek's hands, and anything he does for MWLL has to be IAW the NDA, DYS?

You hit it right on the head. Now with that said officially, unofficially of course there are always talks and ideas being spread :D I'm good like that...Just because I work here now though also doesnt mean i leave MWLL out in the cold my boss is on my case worse than everyone else about releasing the mod hehe. The only real disadvantage is a little less time but my wife is good about letting me work when i need to.

Sounds to me like they are hoping for an increase in sales for Crysis when the mod comes out :D It's gonna work, since there are many, including me, that are getting that game just for MWLL. Or maybe they have plans to create a second game after MWLL? MWLL2 perhaps? Who knows ...

What are you talking about? Wandering Samurai Studios (us guys making MWLL) don't have any real association with Crytek apart from the NDA's we all signed to get the pre-alpha SDK. We're making a mod for a game that they put out, and in the course of seeking help with certain parts, we've made a few contacts. Crim's going to work for them is cool, but it's not like we have access to anything more. Maybe he can act as a liaison to some extent, but do you honestly think that Crytek would allow him to do, what is essentially MWLL work, while on the clock? Also the information he gets access too is now mostly covered by NDA so even things he'd have discovered on his own are now covered. It would, of course be unethical to violate it, and I do support it, but it's not like this changes things too much as far as MWLL is concerned.

Yes yes of course. But still working in both camps is working in both camps. Direct connection even with NDA and whatever else is a strong and good connection for MWLL to have. MWLL is built on a Crytek foundation, Crim works for Crytek. Excellent.

And that half-black thing - that's just plain scary. Not as scary as Oprah tho.

Congrats!

Do they have beer vending machines in Germany?  Can you drink beer at lunch time over there?  Can you drink it at your desk?

They changed that ... it's hard to find places to smoke nowadays :D Though I am a non-smoker so I wouldn't know for sure.

Beer you can get, drink and enjoy anywhere! :P

no.  But their take on the good ole (turkish?) doner kebab (damn my american keyboard and me not memorizing the numberpad functions, and I probably can't spell it right anymore either) is AMAZING, best vendor/street food I've ever had.  Definitely a must have at some point, even though it is streetfood, it's a great lunch.

Yes Döner is really tasty :)
But there's usually no beer allowed at work. After and before work you can drink beer oder any other alcohlics everywhere .. well I wouldn't drink in a church or something like that but it's not forbidden to drink while you walk down the road.
