Very impressive view you captured there. Made even more stunning with Aerospace flying by, and an Outpost/Dropship in the background. Well done!

Quick question to anyone that can answer. What is the level of destructibility, environmentally? I noticed that there were a quite a few trees. I don't think that a 90 ton Assault 'Mech should bounce off of a little tree.

Seems kind of sad to wage war in such a beautiful, awe inspiring setting.  But what the hell!  Alpha strikes away!

In Crysis all the trees and just about everything else is destructible, so we should get lots of fun forest clearing action going on, especially with the Arrow IV artillery missile in the game.

But in multiplayer, they aren't.

Yep.  And in Crysis the only tree's that were destructible were simple palm tree's and bush trees.

Saying that, there's a good chance that for this first beta release there won't be much for destructibility.

Now it's defiantly something we want in, and have plans for implementing it, but at this stage it's a lower priority.  The current tree models even are wanting to be scrapped out for better ones.

But who am I kidding, a lot is going on during this month so we may see both (new tree models and destructibility) by the time the beta rolls in.  I just make the landscape look purty with what assets we got and bitch at people to make new assets when I want em :D

Well, Korjax, you do a helluva job with the landscape, then. You and Shadowkiller both.  ;)

That environment is going to be awesome to wage war in. Plenty of cover and changes in elevation. I think I am in love!
