I managed to get Crysis working on 3 monitors again. This is how it looks.

I'm really curious to see how this looks from inside the cockpit of a mech in MW:LL. It has the potential to be really awesome.

Unfair advantage? We will have to wait and see.

In my eyes, it's only assbad . . look at the face on the right, that does look too stretched for me to appreciate . . i'd stop at 2 monitors, if that would not mean that the crosshair is allways exactly on the point between the screens -.-
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

The stretching is kind of annoying, but I don't actually notice it that much when playing because the side monitors are at a 35 degree angle to the center monitor and on my peripheral vision. In other words, you don't really notice it because you don't look straight at the sides.

But its really more of a neat gimmick for almost all games. Flight Sims are really the only time its worthwhile.

Define "Lack the abillity" because I think EVERYONE has the ABILLITY to do it, its just a matter of wether or not they WANT to spend the money.

Its not like they live in a country that says "Due to over population, you are only allowed to use 1 monitor."

I think Epicone has a valid point. This particular monitor configuration is non-standard, and requires the user to install third party files into your game directory.

Honestly I would have expected Punkbuster to prevent it from being used since the same code hook that allows triple monitors to work also allows for aimbotting.

Everyone also has the ability to install an aimbot in the exact same manner, but most people do not because it is clearly unfair.

I think triple monitor play is not cheating because the results you get from it do not seem to offer much of an advantage over other players.

Anyone is welcome to do it themselves, but odds are you'll just get a headache after an hour and go back to your old config.

meh, I disagree, but that is my choice to do so. People use different stuff all the time. Its like saying, you can't use a G15 Keyboard because you can map macros which gives you an advantage over some one who can't afford one.

Or, You can't tweak your video settings at the ini level to get optimal frame because that is non standard.

The point is, to limit people from enhancing their play to get the optimal out of it (Stopping short of cheating) is like telling a star runner that he has to run backwards because he is faster than the guy next to him.

Limitations of potential is not a feature that I look for in a game.

Yes, at some point customizing your game becomes cheating. I remember an incident not too long ago where someone got their World of Warcraft account suspended because he was using a G15 keyboard to automate his game a bit more (Which I think was total crap BTW).

My personal opinion on customizing your game is as follows: If you are unwilling to disclose what you are doing because it will upset the other player, then its cheating.

I completely agree with that assesment.

This post is old and yet new... But in my view, third person is lame in a simulation. If its there it should only be for looks, As Most flight sims have 3rd person but its for more viewing enjoyment. As Long ago stated, Unless you want to get out and stand on the top of your mech. No 3rd person, and I love it. You can say oh you suck if you dont like it and so on, but the truth is I played MW4 and yeah I used 3rd, I only used it because If I didnt people would hide out behind your ridges pop up fire a shit ton of weapons and drop down. I called you all poptarts! Anyways this is nothing like any BT book I ever read and Im hoping this game touches base one more of the Real BT stuff then before.
Im not bitter I just dont like you Micro$oft!
