Jablonsky is a wizard, the transformers sound track was absolutely one of the most epic soundtracks I've heard and really made the movie MUCH better than it could've hoped to be without his music.

That aside, the MW:LL sound crew seems like they're doing a great job, and I'm convinced that whatever music is featured, it will be appropriate, original, and good.

From what I heard of the games soundtrack, it was very impressive, the composer has much talent on his hands. I applied to be an assistant composer because of it.

Okay, I've listened to the audio release issued on December 24th. Comprised of a segment of music, with some voice over.

The music sounds good, but in it's rough form. I can see where the composer is intending to go with it, but hasn't gotten there yet... so I'll reserve judgment until he has refined it.

But as for the voice over... that's not going to be the final voice is it?
I have a pretty good "smokers voice" as my friends call it. The voice over in the current sound byte sounds like a young guy trying to sound deeper than he naturally is. Not that I have a problem with that, if that's the sound you're looking for, then great.
But I get the feeling you'd be looking for a voice over that sounds, well... a little more evil and sadistic.

I move that we hold voice competitions. Give us the intro speech, and we'll give you our version of it.

Reason being that I can't claim I'm much better for the voice over, unless I give everyone else a chance as well.

So how about it?
A narrator contest?
I think it could only lead to good things.

Oh... and as for the composer, I'm not going to try and step on your toes... but message me if you want to talk about direction and sound levels. I've got a few ideas myself, and they can be totally yours if you like... I compose for the sake of composing, want my help? It'll cost you nothing.

Comprised of a segment of music

The audioteaser released on December 25th (GMT) is a medley respectively remix of three completely independent tracks.

But I get the feeling you'd be looking for a voice over that sounds, well... a little more evil and sadistic.

What makes you think we're looking for something "evil and sadistic"? Let me assure you that "evil and sadistic" is not at all the intention behind these introductory lines.

I move that we hold voice competitions. Give us the intro speech, and we'll give you our version of it.

We have had a voice actor's contest more than one year ago already and at this time are not planning anything like it again.
If you think you can do better, go ahead and prove it.

The text passage can be taken - among other places - straight from our mod description
http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/content/view/17/39/
and reads as follows:
Quote
By the 31st century, humanity has spread to thousands of worlds, while a handful of powerful empires wage continual war for the right to rule the stars. Foremost among the weapons used in that struggle are BattleMechs. Loaded with auto cannons, missile launchers, lasers, and charged-particle beam weapons, these fusion-powered war machines of articulated armor stand upward of ten meters high. Piloting them are MechWarrior’s, the best, most intensively trained men and women available. Like the armored knights of an earlier age, MechWarrior’s are popular heroes, and their exploits are the stuff of legends.

Oh... and as for the composer, I'm not going to try and step on your toes... but message me if you want to talk about direction and sound levels. I've got a few ideas myself, and they can be totally yours if you like... I compose for the sake of composing, want my help? It'll cost you nothing.
