I'm the guy that buys the Awesome or Warhammer and runs in and maybe kills once or twice but then gets himself killed. And then respawns and is useless the rest of the match. :D

My combat role?  Meat shield.

:D sign in, and suit up, Panzer ;D shields are welcome. But I´ll remember to stand by you in the field.

I´m going to be in the position needed to be filled, whether it be in a BA, Tank, Aero or ´Mech. And when ever my purse of C-bill allows it.

I tend to go for long-range support - LRMs, artillery, ER Lasers and Gauss Rifles >.>

So most likely the mech with the capacity for the biggest guns =D

worse, i can built trolls inside the rules that do in unarmed combat panther assault cannon stun damage (STR16+Plastic Bones) . . or with 2 spurs with Dikote more damage than ANY other weapon [Damage=Strength+(Strength/2)+2 points of Power from Dikote on each of those spurs and one level of Damage for 26S Damage that can cut through barriers like a Katana can cut through tanks . . oh, and with poison sacks filled with GammaScopolamine every time i do cut someone he gets to resist 10D Stun damage with only natural body immediately . .
and he can shoot a bow farther and with more ouchies than a panther assault gun too . . (16Strength, Ranger-X Bow does STR+4 Damage) means 20M Damage and i can still add Explosive Heads in there . . or dip those heads in GammaScopolamine . . same results as above at about 2000m range . . silenced and because it's hunting/sporting good perfectly legal weapon to boot, especially if you have a level 3 to 6 SIN as Bounty/Critter-Hunter . .
for reference, PAC does 18D Damage and can do a maximum of 18D AV Damage, while the Minigun can do a maximum of 22D AV or 24D withExEx . . and the Minigun can't even pierce Heavy Military Armour worn by anyone . . while the troll will most likely knock him out with his bare fists or gut him with one spur alone or impale him and stick him to the wall behind him with his bow . .
yes, i know, i'm a horrible, horrible monster . . but eh, every group needs such a character, if the rest of the group is made up from sneaky and techy characters that can't fight worth shit *snickers*
Yes, Shadowrun 3 ^^

My combat role?

Skirmish!

I will use speed/jumping to avoid concentrated enemy fire/airthreads and to take out vulnerable targets.
For this, i prefer Mechs with weapons for all ranges.

The best thing is, i can use all kind of mechs for that - light, medium and even heavy.

If i can manage the controls, i am also interested in aircraft - if the controls are not too complicated, i am usually pretty dangerous as a pilot.

It's weird to me that people are talking about playing anything but Mechs lol

But there is alot more to do in these games.

i'm going non mech for a bit just to be contrary. But more importantly, i want to just make use of combined arms.  If i wanted a straight up mech fight i could reinstall mw4, but i want more variety in my future fights
Wherever mechs are needed, I am there

Hm, I like to provide a nice dilemma for my opponents by taking an assault 'Mech and loading it down with as much armor and defensive electronics as possible, along with a big engine and a few UAC 20's.  Then I charge the enemy while my allies provide fire support.  This forces the enemy to either try to beat down my formidable defenses while my allies cut them to pieces from long range, or try to deal with the softer support units and let me get in close with the big ACs where I can quickly cut assault 'Mechs to pieces.

That would probably put me in an assault 'Mech, but the Demolisher might be able to serve the same roll in a pinch.

Primarily tanks.  I envision myself in a long-range fire support role, and mechs just draw too much fire to do that effectively.  Doesn't mean I would try out a mech if I got the chance, but my combat style would still be to sit back with Gauss Rifle/LRMs.

For exactly that reason the Shreck appeals to me :)  Want to try everything though.

Well, for the first month or two, I will likely fulfill the role of easy target with my mech jammed between two buildings. After that I hope to actually fire off a shot or two.
