Oh yeah, I forgot to mention; because of the relaxed clan views on sex, it's very common within sibkos. As long as there are no complicaions, such as pregnancy, such things are even encouraged.
Coupling may even occur between instructors and cadets, though this is usually seen as more of a punishment for the cadet.
In Way of the Clans, we hear of Aidan Pryde coupling with Marthe Pryde (his sister and the future JF Khan), Peri (his sister, whom, when she is dropped from training, he impregnates and she gives birth to Diana) and Joanna (his instructor, multiple times, possibly may be considered rape)

on a note with MW2, i'm guessing that the cadet would have to go through that every day once said cadet receives their neurohelmet, which is around, what, age 15? until they're 20

Yes, I think it's part of the Clan warrior thing.
In the IS, getting sex is a hard thing, and can require a lot of time to acquire.
The Clans do away with courting, dating and all that other mushy stuff, to make time for the important things like training and warrior-ing.
Sex isn't trivialised, it is still an intimate thing, Clanners are human after all; it's just that it's seen more as a stress-reliever, something you can do with your friends (or family, but the Clans do tend to downplay the family thing a lot in their doctrine).
It keeps morale up; there's no sexual frustration, there's no penis envy, there's no sexual rivalry; you just get off with an old (or new) friend and go about your day with a big smile.
Also, it means unisex showers and toilets are the norm, with both sexes using them at the same time, which makes building such facilities that much easier.
The civilian castes are fairly promiscuous too, though they get saddled with arranged marriages (the low-tech version of the eugenics program). As long as there aren't any accidental pregnancies though, people don't really give a rat's ass who you play around with. As long as you keep pumping out the sanctioned, genetically-superior children, it's all hunky-dory.

No Clan warrior would want an accidental pregnancy, among trueborns, a natural pregnancy is considered primitive and disgusting. No female trueborn of the warrior caste would want to get pregnant.
Creating offsprings is considered the job of the scientist caste, trueborn babies are supposed to be born out of the
iron wombs, engineered to be better with every generation.
Like Kiriko said, even the lower castes, who still reproduce the old way; do not reproduce randomly, the scientist caste arranges mariages between freebirth couples.
Clans abhor waste, producing unfit offspring is a waste of resources.

Somewhat sister.  They're all basically tube children (ie mix the DNA of 2 great Clan warriors and create a batch of children from it for training).  Sibko means Sibling Company which refers to the batch of 20 kids created that all train together.  Of the 20 usually only 1 or 2 actually become warriors.  Training starts from a VERY young age (5? 6?  something like that) until roughly 16-18ish.  That's one hell of a boot camp.

Clanners have drugs.
They got the drugs that stop the EI-implanted warriors from turning into gibbering vegetables.
Or the super-stims that keep the important half of an elemental fighting, even when he's trailing parts of himself over the battlefield.

Then there's the Goliath Scorpions, who use goliath scorpion venom to have visions. Which is probably why they never really became a great Clan.

I'm sure there's more, I jut can't remember them right now.

My mistake, thats the full 100 points :)

Honestly, I've not read that much on the Clans, know a bit about all of them, but as much as say a tiger would know about a shark.  And most of what I know was written from the IS perspective, and I admit that bias.  So I'm finding all this fascinating.

if you read the trilogy Rise of the Jade Phoenix, i think thats the name, it talks a good deal about clan training. Not sure if that was the name of it tho, i know the main character's name was Aidan Pryde.

if you'd read page 1, we have alread discussed 'The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy' and 'Way of the Clans' and Aidan Pryde.

The only sibko relevant information i've ever read was in The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy, like kiriko noted.

But i think i need to read the book again, because i thought you only became a warrior after trial of position. You might be of warrior stock (this is literally so, gene selection with iron womb technology (aka testtubes and artificial wombs for infant production), but this means you get into a sibko (aka sibling community). These members are of the same mixx in gene pools but they are a mixx. So you could be of the pryde line but its mixxed with other genes to strengthen it.

The top grade kids from the sibko get to go to the training facility to test for warrior status.....this entails normal training in hand to hand, weapons (all types), general warfare lessons and tactics and eventually mechwarrior training. The warriors are those who defeat 1 or more opponents in the end (exam) trial of position. Winning from more than 1 opponent (at the same time) gives you the right a higher rank even the right to your own star. (aka captaincy or even higher i forget).

If you fail the exam or flunk out during training your scores and attitude get you sent to lesser castes. This is due to the clan idea of not wasting anything. Old warriors(35+) or warriors with black marks (ie not dying when you star does) gets you relegated to training duty. Warriors with deformities or even flunkies from training get to babysit sibko's.

Sibko members might be halfbrothers/sisters but clans don't embrace the ability to love. This is also another trait that makes them trueborn, far superior in their minds to freeborn (aka humans born from mothers). Freeborn evt can become ranking members in the clans but they will nvr attribute to the genepool, aka the highest reward for a trueborn.
