It's a restriction on the MOD SDK. No functional enemy AI in multiplayer unless you can develop your own without distributing something that is reverse engineered. It could very possibly change in the future, but as of initial and for the foreseeable future, no AI in Multiplayer.

Keep up the debate though, there's some really interesting ideas here!

I think they were talking about dropping reskinned Koreans in some maps to add to the feel and give you something else to shoot at.  I (obviously) don't know how the code is structured so I can't say for sure, but I think that it should be possible to drop them in the game based on comments from the devs about slaughtering Koreans with MWLL assets.  The only place I can see issues is in the network handling for AI's, but that might be entirely avoidable if the AI will do the same thing on both machines with only periodic position checks to keep them together for everyone if there is a little lag issue.  The other implementation option I see is to have the AI run server side in a simplified environment and transmit cut down information on what they are doing so they don't take as much bandwidth as a player.

In the editor and by replaying Crysis SP levels with MWLL assets, not in actual multiplayer.

Too bad. I liked seeing the civilians and animals running for their lives in MW4. I just thought it would be fun to be able to stomp on them or blast'em.....lol
