Love Fallout 3. First game was sort of quick to run through the main storyline quest, which could have been a bit better*. Love Liam Neeson as Dad tho, along with Malcolm McDowell and Ron Perlman. Even the no-name actors were almost always good. The retro 50's look was pretty darn cool, but I'm afraid it's starting to be overdone. Retro was awesome in Bioshock, and pretty cool in Fallout, but I'm afraid it'll start being the 'in thing' and everyone will try to do it. I also didn't think FO3 had
quite the same humor as the first two. Had some funny stuff here and there, but not as good as I hoped. Nitpicking there tho.
I also hate the Oblivion curve, where EVERYTHING in the game levels up with you. That annoys the bejeebers out of me. I LIKE being able to go into an easy dungeon when I'm level 13 and smoking anything that I see with one shot. I LIKE accidentally wandering into the wrong area and running into a critter that scares me into soiling myself right before it tears my head off because it's ten levels higher than me. The curve takes a lot of the chance and fun risk out of stuff. It's less prevalent in FO3, but I hated it in Oblivion. No matter where I went, all the enemies were just the right level to fight me.

It's 'dumbing down' a game way too much, IMO.
Again though, it didn't stop me from playing it a heck of a lot. Just wish a few minor things had been done differently. Deathclaws are pretty good tho. Gawd they are a pain. I made sure to be veeery ready before I went any where near that part of the Wasteland.
An FO3 MMO sounds pretty fun, especially if they not only use V.A.T.S., but improve it or kick it in with every fight. That's mostly because I'm an old fogey that loves turn-based combat tho.

More like PnP stuff.
All in all, Fo3 did not disappoint, and I consider it money well spent. No, I did not pirate it.

I always pay for good games that aren't saddled with horrific DRM.
