January 16th sees the opening of door #47 in MWLL's advent calendar. Today's screenshot takes us back to the swamp where we earlier met our four grim friends. Two of them are part of today's screenshot again and with them a small group of elementals and two Huitzilopochtlis - the Clans are mobilizing.

Don't forget to check out our media gallery to see the already revealed content of MWLL's advent calendar and other media.. .. .

Great atmoshperic shot.

Got me thinking about 2 things, what are those weapons-pods on the Huits? And, is the mud trail at the hangers left edge from 'mech footprints?

Maybe they were keeping a herd of Elephants prior to the Clan menagerie but it looks to me like that Asp on the right tried to enter the hanger previously and was turned away for muddy feet  :-[

That's not mud, it's the shadows from some plant or bush.

Donno Skunker, it would have to be a bush suspended (or traveling through) midair as I don't see any stalk, trunk or even the shadow touching the ground at any point.

Looks like mud/oil or perhaps even the residue of two vehicle explosions which happened long enough ago for the models to fade and disappear?

EDIT: the splodge on the left is more faded than the right hand one. which is why I initially thought of footprints (drying over time), but that would also be seen as battle debris fades and dissapears over time, no?

I think its a tree. I could be wrong though. I can see where you're coming from with the mud/oil but I'm just not feeling it man.

They just keep getting better and better. I especially like all the different hues and colors in the world. I am glad it is not going to be just gray, green and lifeless. Looking good.....no looking great!

I'm pretty sure it's a shadow.  Crysis shadows by default have it so terrain doesn't cast shadows, so he probibly has it set like that on his settings which makes it look like the plant is floating when it's really just sitting ontop of a hill.

will there be indoor maps?
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'
