Mechs look great and there is a lot of nice detail work on the Awesome. The modellers have done a really good job.
The devs aren't going to like hearing it again, but to me this is another shot in which out-of-proportion trees make the mechs look man sized.

Actually, it is refreshing to see such large trees. The tallest Mech is generally considered to be the Atlas. The Atlas has been shown in numerous sources as being 14 meters tall. 14 meters is approximately 45 feet tall. A story is roughly 10-12 feet in height. So, 4 stories tall. Most Mechs in Battletech are 10-12 meters. Most average trees are this height. Older trees are much, much taller. In many, many Battletech source books, Mechs generally walk under the treeline. This is because on most worlds in the Inner Sphere, there is only a few cities per world. This means that much of the environment on most worlds remains untouched, and thus, trees are not constantly cut down, and thus, grow very tall.
Or...
They're alien trees, just go with it.
On the other side, it will be nice for Mechs to finally have some cover. In previous Mechwarrior games, the only cover you had available was ducking behind a hill, or running behind a building. I, for one, and very happy with the size of the environments and the trees.
