In MW4 me and this guy just agreed to stand and take turns shooting at the face of each others Atlas's. I am not 100% but I think there were no instant kills there either. It always seemed to go blinking red and 0 armor on the damage indicator. Don't remember the version though.
I'll explain. The way MW4 was made, it's impossible to destroy any location with just one shot, even one salvo (of the same weapon type), no matter how large won't do it. The only way is hitting the location with two shots, or a salvo composed of weapons with different travel times, like a laser and a autocannon.

if you look at it long enough you can hear the background music......"Love is in the air, everywhere i look around..." ;D

In MW4, facing the Atlas, I believe the cockpit was on the right eye (or from the Atlas's perspective, the left).

Interesting Ninja, Did you find this through a tech manual or by experience in game?

Very interesting, I wonder what rule the Devs have for this in for MWLL?

Experience. From the cockpit view you can kinda guess your in the eye, then just ask someone to stand still and have headshot contests lol.

Nice painting. if i am allowed to crit, the composition is a bit odd. The sun and the timberwolf cold be more to the right imo and the smoke could have a few more highlights to make it more obvious that its smoke rather than an oddly shaped bit of ladscape.
