It is February 17th and MWLL welcomes you to the opening of door #79 in its advent calendar. Today's screenshot features another Catapult doing what they do best - laying supporting fire with LRMs, in this case on an enemy position on SA_Extremity. Enjoy!

Don't forget to check out our media gallery to see the already revealed content of MWLL's advent calendar and other media.. .. .

On the contrary I managed to snipe about 5-6 mechs passing through that area before any of them bothered to deal enough damage to kill me.

Good at finding an excellent camping spot. Hadn't I occasionally seen LRMs coming from that direction, I wouldn't even have noticed him in spectator mode.

hmmm...   I totally love this shot.  Nice one.  Just wondering about this^.  I understand the size needed [aerotech] for maps...  but wonder how long it could possibly take two forces to find each other on these...without aero scouts.

anyone want to expand on this?

This is no MMO. You won't be walking for 5min before you find something.
It depends on the map. (SA) or (TOA) gamemodes have maps of varying sizes.

SA are very small, only a couple thousand km. TOA can be a few thousand. SA are made so you can walk out and find something to kill but are large enough that you can't directly snipe into someone's base (natural boundaries, distance) and so forth. TOA are huge and have multiple objectives which are spread fairly evenly throughout the map so there's always something to do moments after stepping out of your bay.

Its hard to make a map TOO big when youve got weapon ranges like these!!  ;D

The larger objective based maps sound much more awesome to me than Solaris honestly, I just cant wait for this mod.

Was testing for the snipability of one of the hangar spawns being hard/impossible to snipe directly at (by going off-road a little), and the test turned out to be an overwhelming failure :D

Though if the majority of the vehicles and mechs that left the hanger went out the 3rd back entrance and actually decided to deal with me then it might have turned out better for them :P
