SA are very small, only a couple thousand km meters. TOA can be a few thousand.

its like playing supreme commander on an 81 x 81 km map, from the perspective of a little tech 1 unit, and then adding another 81 x 81 map at each of the originals sides......it equals awesomness...and lag :P

I get the feeling that the maps will be huge.....Just trying to compare them to something that is out there now.

hmmm...   I totally love this shot.  Nice one.  Just wondering about this^.  I understand the size needed [aerotech] for maps...  but wonder how long it could possibly take two forces to find each other on these...without aero scouts.

anyone want to expand on this?

This is no MMO. You won't be walking for 5min before you find something.
It depends on the map. (SA) or (TOA) gamemodes have maps of varying sizes.

MT Eden in Hardcore....regularly two forces can wander the map for 20 minutes and not encounter each other... of course, theres no aerotech in HC...and the map is [I think] 4k-5k square.

And for the remark about the weapon ranges???  How much different can they be from MW4?

Was that the one with the pyramids and all the bridges (spent ages looking for people on that map)?

Remember as the Devs have said these maps are objectives based, so if your interested in winning you'll soon face the enemy who's going for the same goals, even in the larger maps :)  Maybe at the start of a BIG map you'll have a few captured objectives before the battle lines are drawn properly, but after that you know where you'll find them.....

As far as Range goes, have seen nothing so far that has looked further than 1000km out IIRC (that last Blood Asp pic was very hard to gauge distance to an invisible enemy).  This pic looks around the 1000m mark (between Cat and Base) so again I don't really think we can tell anything from that..but it does add weight to a 1000m max arguement.
