MWLL Advent Calendar - Door 85

Welcome to the opening of door #85 in MWLL's release countdown calendar. February 23rd brings a slight change: most screenshots so far have been very much ground-based, showing a lot of combat or just posing on the ground. Today's screenshot, however, shows an attack run by the Shiva, the Inner Sphere's heavy assault aerospace. The Shiva is hitting an enemy Mech with a salvo of LRMs. The location, once more, is ToA_Clearcut at night. Enjoy!

I love the look of the Shiva.

Fightery Goodness!
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

finally some kickass-ness for us aero junkies!

It will be nice having a battletech/mechwarrior game that really shows the combined arms aspect. I know allot of my buddies wanted to do the whole battle armor, while some where better pilots. Will be nice to have those resources in a pitched battle!! Great shot, will be a different atmosphere when you have to make sure to watch the skies for enemies now...

fame lies in the sky... unless your talking about BT then its in giant mechs lol

but still glad to see some attention to the aerospace! i intend to spend time in the air very nice work you did on the shiva guys  ;D

random question - upon starting off will you have enough C-Bills for basic light vehicles, like, say when starting off will it be possible to purchase a sparrowhawk or harrasser or something small along those lines?

I just can't wait to shoot one of those big pretty bastards down.

I know in games like Battlefield its damn hard for ground based troops/vecs to take out aircraft but how hard will it be for ground-pounders in comparison? Will a rifleman-type mech be able to take out aeropunks or will taking out enemy aero-assets be primarily the responsibility of friendly aero?

I dunno bout you guys but there's something sooo satisfying about sitting on the ground and blowing shit outta the sky.

dang, that pilot must be amazing, it looks like he nailed him with lasers or something smack in the middle of the CT right before the pic (looking at the explosion on the mech)

Very...very... nice!  ;D

Does this screenshot give us a hint of the mod's overall progress? I'm guessing yes.

As AoP said... the previous screenies were mostly dedicated to ground based combat and now.... THIS!

I'm just thinking the ground stuff is pretty much good to go and they're just 'finishing up' the air stuff.

Of course I could be totally wrong but hey... don't rain on my parade.

Like the fire effects coming out of the engine, damn fine. How fast do these buggers fly? I know in the fiction its insanely fast.

Looks pretty sweet, can't wait to fly one of those, But i got a question? Are the flame jets alittle behind the fighter because of lag or something? Because they look like they aren't as close as they should be?
