My parents eventually stopped renting that game for a while because i would constantly yell at the other mechs saying something about once I get done with them i'll kill their families too. Kinda concerned my parents a bit.

Once my parents realised that I knew it wasnt real and i would never do that (apparently its pretty hard to get a mech to fit in your backyard without attracting some attention..or stepping on some houses..) they where cool with it.

That was when i was around 6 or 7. Then i discovered Playstation...

I like this kid.  ;D

Hey man what are you joining?

I'm 19 as well and joining the CF, Canadian Forces, Armoured Crewman hopefully.
I've still got to do an interview and medical but I'm thinking those will go smoothly.

Good luck with basic.

I'm in the Texas Army National Guard. Im going to Ft. Sill for basic then Ft. Sam Houston for AIT as a medic.

I'm positive you'll do fine! Hopefully it won't be like MEPS here in the states where they will disqualify you for admitting you took asprin for a headache! LOL

Thanks and good luck to you too!

I was going to go Medic as well but I didn't take Biology 12 in highschool so wasn't qualified, I was leaning more towards armoured recce anyways.

Wow Null, for me it was easy to get the Medic MOS and i'm a highschool dropout technically (homeschooled and parents didnt print out records before the hard drive that contained them got wiped out...)

I just had to score high enough on the asvab test (armed service vocational apptitude battery, basically an IQ test in case y'all go by a different test in Canada) and have a GED. They took me, no questions asked.

Canada seems pretty strict about what you can and can not do in the military. As for us, all they ask is that you score high enough on the test and they could have you working on nuclear crap just out of highschool.
