I've always been partial to Black Sabbath's War Pigs

I am sure that there are plenty of good musicians on these forums and that a contest could be done to make the sound track... Best 10 tracks get selected or something like that. Otherwise if you use someone elses work, there may be royalties to pay.

War pigs is a damn good song for sure..

I think maybe a solid Mech song would be  "Let the bodies hit the floor" by Drowning pool.

I remember that was what i listened to playing MW4 mercs.

but i think its more just personal taste...sure there should be some heavy metal but not so much where it kinda makes you want to turn it off after a while. I like metal but just not the constant screaming and what may be called "singing" (the kind where someone sounds like they have had their Vocal cords torn).

Again..personal tastes.

That's a great idea. Make the whole thing "Home Grown" in a sense. If the devs want to post which portions of the game (load screen, intro, mech loadout, etc etc) they want a soundtrack to, people can start putting in submissions to be decided on or maybe annonymous forum voting. Maybe set up some guidelines for length, genre etc or just a free for all. Have one contest for original work and one for edited mixes/compilations (barring royalty issues).
