Worst case scenario...... that happens. We all just get some money together and PAY them to patch it.

We got the game for free..... I have no problem paying to keep it patched if we need to.

Well it seems to me that everyone will want to switch over to Wars if it is indeed the superior version. I frankly wouldn't want to hold back the mod just because I spent money on something else.

I think someone of you might have to suck it up and spend some more money eventually, but this time wait till the mod is finished (recommended) or nearly finished  ;D

believe me, I understand what the devs are saying, but lotsa people <me> have to buy , and are going to buy a whole new rig to play this.
Having the scratch for a comp that can run crysis well kinda implies ur not exactly hurting for cash, or ur parents arent.

I wish my parents weren't hurting for cash.  I would move in with them.  I don't care if I'm 39.  I want a swimming pool.

On a side note, always build your own machine if you can.  HUGELY cheaper than a brand box, and you get exactly what you want.  If you don't have the tech skills to put one together, there's usually a nerd or two around that's more than happy to do it very cheap, which would still cost bunches less than a brand box.  You can really save a bundle and wind up with a very nice Frankenstein machine that's very easy to upgrade and maintain. :)

If you don't know how to do it, consider learning, since it's really not all that hard to do nowadays.

Guess I better start hunting around for a copy of Crysis Warhead.

Would be hilarious if this mod gets popular and there is a run on copies of Crysis Warhead (unless of course, its on Steam)

Back in the day I dismantled and reassembled a comp with an 80386 processor...
Not fun >_>

Today it's a snap, just put the stuff where it fits, don't force it in or cut away contacts (Yes, there are people who lack any common sense) read the mainboard manual which cable goes where and you're all set.
Just be extra careful when fitting the cpu fan in place ;)
