Just to add 1 more thing to the awesomeness of MWLL i suggest  Laser heat sinks. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Laser_Heat_Sink.
That is the description of the amazing heat sink used when double heat sinks aren't strong enough. Of course the Heat sink would be more rare so that there would be less of them than other heat sinks but when you do have them............ also I think that a glow mech at night would look amazing.

Because if battletech needed more of something it was heat dissipation.  ::)

far as i can tell, they don't actually dissolve MORE heat . . they just dissolve heat in another way . .
no more ammo explosion from overheating, but overheating still happens and you shut down.
and they dissipate just as much as clan double heat sinks and take up as much space/tonnage i think.
i don't actually know what the CBT Rules say about those things. . but they make you glow!
that's gotta be worth something!

No they dissipate more heat the double heat sinks. The only disadvantage is that at night people can see you more easy.

imagine having a whole lance of glowy mechs, each in a different colors! you could amuse your enemies with amazing light shows!!!

But otherwise it is a tactical disadvantage because all they have to do is aim for the glowing mech...

Weapon glow really doesn't have any reason behind it.
This is different, you'll get some advantages in heat dissipation and in return, your mech starts glowing. I'm sure people can understand that.

yeah, i am one of those people who don't really like the glowy stuff on weapons all too much.

I think the article says their advantage is that their performance is not reduced on warm planets...

Yup, same performance no matter if you're standing in a desert or on a floating ball of ice, but also reduced chance of ammo explosions caused by heat.
