MWLL is opening door #112 in its release countdown calendar. The screenshot of March 22nd gets us back to ToA_Clearcut where we're watching an Inner Sphere's Longinus and an explosion - indicating a victory in combat maybe? Enjoy!

I love the effects of explosions in crysis also the way the camera shakes when your near to them.

now this doth look promising ^^
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

I've decided. I'm going to develop a form of cryostasis to sleep in when waiting for new games. It might be after this game comes out, but it might help with my hyper impatience.

Great pic by the way. I love BA.

Is there a compression or blast wave effect that radiates out associated with reactor destruction or is the effect entirely localised to the footprint of the vehicle/mech that is destroyed?
The key is to obscure your intentions and make them unpredictable to your opponent while you simultaneously clarify his intentions. That is, operate at a faster tempo to generate rapidly changing conditions that inhibit your opponent from adapting or reacting to those changes and that suppress or destroy his awareness. Thus, a hodgepodge of confusion and disorder occur to cause him to over- or under-react to conditions or activities that appear to be uncertain, ambiguous, or incomprehensible.

As far as I remember - nothing. If I remember correctly this is an SRM from the Longinus' SRM launcher that simply detonated at its maximum range.

Is there a compression or blast wave effect that radiates out associated with reactor destruction or is the effect entirely localised to the footprint of the vehicle/mech that is destroyed?

Is this question related to the topic?
Huge, significant explosions with forcewaves that lash out and can take other vehicles with them are only possible when a Mech reactor core goes up. Other vehicles simply explode.

Jeez, I don't know.  A question about explosions on a thread featuring an explosion as the highlighted item.  I'll think about it for a while and see if I can find a link between the two.

I made my question of a general nature though given I don't know what differences might exist between vehicles and mechs in the way you had designed them.  If mechs do indeed feature a blast wave on reator failure would it be possible get a screen of it in some later installment?

Lol dude its totally not going to work. Just watch South Park. Cartman tried that when he was waiting for the Wii and bad things happened in the future...
