"ZONE" Rooms
« on: April 01, 2009, 10:12:33 PM »
I folks i don't know if this has been suggested but when MW4 was at its hight the "ZONE" was the place to be and it wasn't just all about the game it was the community aswell the chit chat and banter ,meating new people forming friendships from around the globe the fun between teams .Is there going to be anything like it? also it gives teams access to each other easly so they can set up wars etc , i might be talking over my head here but i think that is needed to bring all the old timers back .

MechWarrior: Living Legends is a volunteer project that must not earn any money, therefore we can't afford to maintain the infrastructure required for something like that. Because of that, we will not be developing anything like it either.

As far as I know, the Crysis chat lobby still works from within MWLL though.

If you like league play, go see NetBattleTech aka NBT here -> www.netbattletech.com

It is the best Planetary Mechwarrior league anywhere. NBT may decide to adopt the MWLL MOD for league play.

Time will tell.

Cheers,  :)

I'm sure someone who was motivated could set up an IRC channel on one of the public IRC servers floating around.

PS:  For most of the hardcore players, The Zone was not "the place to be"...

Well,

Until an actual league formally adopts MWLL, unit leads could always come back to the recruiting forum here, and get others' websites.

Seems pretty simple.

I think these forums will be even more active after the release, if the devs decide to continue to host this site.  ;)

Anyone needing to set up a battle with another unit, is ALWAYS welcome to drop by our website.

You knoiw, i see a lot of volunteer sites like this. But i think now might be a good step for MWLL to make some money of this, NO not the source code or anything because it doesn't belong to mwll because its property of crysis and any mod should be free unless contact the creators or something to get permission to sell the mod, but now would be good to bring in programmers to make a prototype zone like "Mech Zone" or something, Blizzard started off as a non profit and then upped the anti why not mwll? You guys really need to take this to the next step. I know you all have your own lives and jobs, but have you all truly wanted to own part of mech history? now much be the time to breath life back in to mw again..

It's not that simple, they would need to obtain the rights to the franchise otherwise they would get a hellstorm of lawsuits.
All of my posts are of my personal opinions unless obviously otherwise.

Zone wasn't Deserted when MW3 was still up and running.
But in the End-Times of MW4 Mercenaries, it got a bit quiet.

and MWLL being a non profit community hinders that idea... Damn..
