I know The Living Legends are a mercenary unit, but the sheer number of clan mechs in the posters would have me thinking they were from clan space or funded by Clan Nova Cat or Diamond Shark. 
But you know me, I'm a pure tech purist.
I think the Bushwhacker/Awesome is the best, and would use that for your reason alone. Though I would say that the them of TLL is a bit, shall I say, transcendent to the BTU. I think they see themselves as the MWLL Merc unit, or some such. So the Mercs of MWLL, any tech that is in game goes, are TLL. I am most likely wrong in the absolute, concerning TLLs modus though.
And does a purist roll around in Thors all day, when he is some kind of Knight of the Spheroids? Try an Atlas some time, my good sir.
