With the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Public Beta approaching, we have a few more bits of information about how the whole thing is organized, how you will be able to get your key, and, most importantly, when key distribution will actually start.

First off, I know there's some concern that most of the 60,000 Public Beta slots will go to FilePlanet subscribers - this is not the case. In fact, the keys are split right down the middle, with half going to subscribers and the other half. .. .

it s only for their fileplanet subscribers .. big bullshit...  i wont pay a stupid download site to get BETA for a game they really are looking for money partenership around their game..   too bad.. they would have my vote but with this... they can suck my wallet as much as they want..  i ll never pay for Beta...
I love the sound of crushed metal under my feet!

No, there will be keys made available to non-subscribed members later this week.
If, for example, you've ever played Battlefield 2, you already have an account at their site that qualifies for one of those keys.

Without objectives, I'd have stopped playing by now.

www.MyInternetServices.com and www.TotalQuakeWars.com, along with www.QuakeWarfare.com are all teaming up to hold some ETQW "classes" to help people understand the game in more detail :)

I actually really like games with a steep learning curve since it feels so much more rewarding when after a week or two of playing all of a sudden you find yourself on top of the leader board constantly and yet you still feel there is so much to learn. To me that is VERY satisfying...

I guess its all about how persistent you are at being good at a game...and honestly there hasn't been a game that runs this fast in quite some time so it will take people some time to get their "twitch" skills back up to par.

The annoying part of it since all the BF2 fanboys think ET:QW is just another BF2, they go in with the thoughts that they will own as soon as they enter the game. Shortly after a round of being base raped, they cry and complain about every little thing different that QW has over BF2 and threaten not to buy the game cause it's "too hard" LOL!!

I dunno about everyone here, but I myself like to be challenged in games. Makes me a better and smarter player.

Half of every ET:QW forums have BF2 players crying in anger that ET:QW isn't a battlefield game with Quake skins  :(
