qustion of Heat and ammo
« on: April 16, 2009, 12:37:05 PM »
will there be a heat/ammo option added to mutiplayer? if so plz don't  add this all this will do is make most of the games heat off
why is this an issue? well this just makes games made for the pepole that want to walk around with big guns/big mech and neglect a key feature of BT.
and we all know theres allot of pepole like this out there because there so dumped down with console games and ofther simple featured games. we have  seen this  on MW4,MW4bk,MW4merc,MW4 mp1mp2mp3 this just turns the game into PPC ERLARGE  Rifle SNIPER BOATS and plz don't you use the copout "if you don't like it don't play well this is true but what happens when all games with pepole in them and not bots are heat off? if you cant manage your heat you shouldint be playing the game at all yeah this sounds like what i said not to say but it has more basis on gameplay and replay and just down right dumbing down the game. all everyone ended up doing in mech4 was siting every server to NH/UA  with Gladiator's,Warlord in every game you were in with maybe one or 2  75ton wildcats  or a black knight with 4 er ppcs or Wc's 3 light ppc 3 mini rifle or 2 clan rifle 2 ppc . i guess iam buged with this because i would like to keep this game with all weapons not just strictly  ppc's and rifles  and lrm boats just because some kid just wants big guns and with NU/UA this just influences these pepole to gain popularity and look what you get ? a game with unused weapons. unless your playing league battles and unused mechs because everyones been pulled into this well this whats everyones doing I'll have to conform. am i alone in thinking this will happen i admit UA/Nh can be fun but its also gets boring it gets played out and pepole leave. and then you get a  small goupe that controls the rest of the servers with pepole playing  like zombies and thats the onley way they want to play.

um...........what?

No offence mate but I'm not entirely sure what your getting at.

There will be heat implemented into the game, just as every other mechwarrior/battletech game has done to date.
battlemechs with out heat are called gundams  ;)

I'm not sure what you were asking, or even if you were just making a statement, but I'm pretty sure that mechwarrior living legends is aimed at a much smaller demographic than mechwarrior.
if your worried about pimply faced 15 year olds running around jump sniping you the whole time, rest easy know this will be different. its not going to be sold at games stores so your less likely to get the kiddies "PwNing" you at games they bought with the money there mother gave them for mowing the lawn.  :)

other than that, if you have a specific question perhaps ask it a little bit more succinctly and a bit more specific next time  ;D, so that way some one can answer your question properly.
either way hang around read some of the topics and join the "patient" (a word I'm using very lightly) wait. I'm sure it ll be worth it in the end :)

At this time, there are no plans for these settings to be a server side option.

I think it's a fun feature to mess around with occasionally.  Perhaps for private LAN games or something.

I always found it entertaining to load a Daishi with absurd amounts of energy weapons and see what damage I can do.

Nah I prefer heat to be locked with limited ammo, but on pop sniping MW4 had Lock 1st person yah know.. After that, pop sniping isn't an exploit but a tactic heh, I never really did it much as I prefer to get into the thick of a fight.. Somehow always managed to pull through most fights even though I'd go into a pack of 3 heavies in a Raven or Storm Crow lol.
Everyone has fallen to Pop sniping though, even me, usually on a map I know its coming I bring some ER-Large Lasers or ER-PPC's, anti pop sniper weapons right there as most pop tart's are.. Well about as armored as a pop tart!

I'm so relieved by the statement above, and the results of the poll.  Good job guys, keep it real.
