So, if you don't mind telling us, what will be the missile ETA warning? Will it be beeping that increases as the missile gets closer, or will there be a countdown in the HUD, or will the missiles simply be on your radar?

Well since Battletech's origins it's always been a Chirp warning when they've been locked on and rapid blips when missiles are in flight.

But do the blips give any indication to the distance? It would be pretty hard to avoid the missile if you dont know how close it is or when it will hit you.
All of my posts are of my personal opinions unless obviously otherwise.

No, not usually.. Its really a guessing game, when you hear the warnings you have to be alert, try and find the source and do whatever you can to try and avoid them but typically Battletech warheads are unparalleled in their tracking sensors at range with LRM's, there's very little you can do! About the best thing you can do is move backwards away from the missiles then rush forward in the last moment, sometimes it works.. Not always though lol.

In previous MW games the missiles appeared as light tracks on your sensor display, so you always knew where they were coming from, MW2 and to some extent 3 you could out turn LRMs at high enough speeds (just like an ASF pilot should be doing the moment he spot them on the sensors)  Even if you couldn't out turn them you could move the torso to defend weakened areas.  MW4 I can't remember (been too long since anyone surprised me with LRMs from behind etc) but I know that you couldn't turn areas to avoid the damage, if he targetted your CT, that's where they would ALL hit, regardless :(

Nope you could take the hit in your right torso etc instead of center torso.

Lrms can be dodged completely in mech4, though how successful you are depends on how skilled the guy launching them is.
