Welcome to the sixth weekly update by the team of the Crysis total conversion modification MECHWARRIOR: LIVING LEGENDS.

The second week of May turned out to be even more busy and active than the previous one. We are making major progress finding and eliminating a numer of minor and major bugs, that kept appearing for a while - in no small part due to the outstanding work of our resident code guru Toth. However, the heavy focus on bug fixing and polishing limits the range of things that can be shown in this weekly update. Nevertheless, we believe you'll like today's update. We're presenting to you the four variants of Catapult and Cougar each and also three panorama shots of the Solaris Arena version of the popular ClearCut map. At the end of this update, as usual, you'll find a collection of screenshots from our weekly playtest.

Four variants: Inner Sphere Catapult and Clan Cougar

The MWLL team would like to present to you an Inner Sphere heavy and a Clan light Mech. Find below the four variants of the Inner Sphere's fire support Mech Catapult and one of the Clan's most powerful lightweights, the Cougar.

Converted Map: ToA_ClearCut becomes SA_ClearCut

The map has been around for quite a while and is widely considered to be one of if not the most beautiful among MWLL's multiplayer battlefields: Clear Cut, originally designed by Korjax. With the Solaris Arena game mode turning out to be the more popular mode in our weekly playtests, bringing together the two was a logical step. The Solaris Arena version will feature a smaller area of action and slightly different base locations. Find three panorama impressions of the map below.

Playtest impressions

Again, here are a few pictures from this week's playtest.

I agree..WOW.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

I am looking forward to jumping into a Mech and running a muck on the battlefield..
From the fires of Eden came John Fletcher,
A true warrior, leader of men, not of machines.
His wisdom became that of a new Clan
That challenged even the mightiest of `Mechs.

I'm looking forward to running up that pyramid with a light mech and then jump-jet while screaming:"TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!"

Looks nice, yet I can't help but notice that gauss shot in the sandblasted map is invisible, is that just a bad picture for the shot, or is that another bug you encountered?

Man is it good to see other people out there working hard. I'm currently nearing the wrap up end of a 24 hour coding marathon with a couple other guys in my class and seeing such awesome Mechs in my current state really helps out. I'm looking forward to a little skirmish action with that cougar, although I'm used to it's prime variant having one ER large laser on one arm and an ER Small lasers, and an ER medium lasers on the other arm.

looking great guys, but I have a question about one of the cougar variants. Granted, I don't know the heat or actual damage you have set-up for the er large, but 4 erl on a 35 ton mech? Isn't that alittle powerful? I didn't think there was ever a 35 ton mech that could do 4 erl in battletech.

One ER-Large weights in at 4 or 5 Tons right?
Hollander has a Gauss-Rifle that weights 12 tons right?
3 would fit in. But the heat, oh it would be grievous. . .

Something nagging about that Cougar, I just can't put my finger on it though.  The hanger looks excellent though, even more so than the last shots that were done as you can see inside and the first play test shot looks very interesting, is that ppc blast radius you can see warping?

Yeah, I can understand 3 erl on a non-jumping 35 ton mech, but 4 on a 35 ton jumping mech? That just seems alittle more like a medium mech load out to me.

Don't forget about one important Difference:
Hollander: IS.
Cougar: Clan.
Everything is smaller/better than the IS-Counter-Part

yeah, and while your at it, let's not forget the hollander II is a 45 ton medium mech also. Why are you comparing the load out of a 35 ton light mech to a 45 ton medium mech, reguardless of clan or IS tech?

Isn't the 45t Mech the Hollander II ?
