At the moment we are supporting every joystick that is directx compatible. Take a look at the driver page of the manufacturer, if the driver is directx compatible.

Hopefully my "old" Sidewinder 3d PRO will work.  It is analog and operates thru a gameport on a sound card.  I'm still using this for my MW Mercs and FLIGHT sim games....so hopefully it will work in MWLL.

Your computer still has a game port? That's pretty unusual, gameports are antique now.

Some Soundblaster Audigy's came with a gameport and the Audigy 2+ revisions came with an additional plugin Game port at the cost of a addon card spacer in the rear of the computer.

If your Joystick interfaces with the Game Controller interface in Windows XP, it will work with MWLL.

ahh, that is GOOD to hear!

I'm happy to say I'd take my old analog Sidewinder 3D pro over any modern USB joystick and will continue to do so.

Now I'm really excited.

Today I may have found the controller of choice for the true MW:LL experience:

Force feedback everything. Rudder pedals, stick, throttle.

I will never buy another Logitech joystick. I have gone through about 7 of them that were somewhat cheap and would wear out about every 3 months. They were decent sticks that worked well, just did not last long at all. I should have stopped getting them, but with a warranty from Best Buy it wasn't bad replacing them all the time. Best Buy was getting kinda pissed though, because they couldn't understand why I was replacing them so quickly. I kept telling them I was just using the joysticks a lot, but it seems strange to see the same guy in the store every 3 months to pick up a new and free joystick off the same warranty.

For those that are using the old analog Sidewinders, you might want to head on over the Descent BB where one of our guys created an analog to USB converter. Many of the diehard Descent players will ONLY use the old 3D Pro.  And as sound cards have pretty much pushed that aside, a solution was needed.

Oh, some assembly required i.e. some soldering skillz necessary, but not 1337. :)

Looks like i have to swap out my vista 64 bit and go back to my xp home 32 bit.  No drivers for SWFFB2 for vista 64.  Oh well to play in a mech again it is worth it.

Glad to see someone keep the mechs marching.
