Ronin-a term used to describe a Masterless Samurai in Feudal Japan. The Ronin is one who lost his Lord or Master through subterfuge, betrayal, war or vengeance and has upon such a new found position in society, taken to the life of a mercenary warrior, joining forces with those causes in which he believes or those that simply offer the highest profit. Our mercenary unit is composed of wandering pilots whose paths have crossed through a twisting myriad of glorious tales from the battlefield. We are servants and masters of no one. Our unifying cause is simple, to be victorious no matter the sacrifice.

The pilots of =RONIN= are drawn from the disparate elements found within the war-torn confines of colonized space.  Descendants of Clan Wolverine and even the Great Khan McEvedy fight along side renegade members of House Dai Da Chi, who fled into the anonymity proffered by fading memories of their fellow pilots from Operation Bulldog.  Even the “mythological” Minnesota Tribe has connections to the mercenaries of =RONIN=, as evidenced only by their distinct tattoos.
One of the earliest known of the rare vid logs to capture =RONIN= in action, comes from an operation conducted on a  prison colony in the small region of Clan Wolf controlled space in the Federated Commonwealth while raiding for raw materials and supplies.  Their mechs, clad in black and wreathed in flames, clearly shunning camouflage as the work of cowards and those whose spirits had been broken under the boot heels of ill-equipped officers with no viable claim to skill or power, easily crushed the defense force while suffering little damage themselves.
This raid was particularly successful in that it increased their number of pilots significantly, all of whom were more than willing to exact revenge upon any and all who stood in their way.  These captured pilots hail from different mercenary units, Clans, and even the Great Houses of the Inner Sphere and so lend a unique blend of battlefield experience and mastery to their already formidable strategic dimension.  The raid further enhanced their capabilities in that they freed several engineers and technicians who are feared to now be working on several new mech chassis that suit the needs of =RONIN= better than anything they currently maintain or salvage.
The members of =RONIN=  also maintain their equipment through a deeply entrenched alliance with a secret element within Clan Ghost Bear who superficially wear their dishonor, pertaining to their denial at the hands of Clan Wolf to participate in the Annihilation of Clan Wolverine and subsequent assistance to the fleeing Wolverines, as merely a rouse to exact revenge upon the Wolves and their kin for the disrespect showed them so long ago.
It was this element that surreptitiously allowed Khan McEvedy to escape, and it is this clandestine alliance that will help destroy Clan Wolf.  As paid mercenaries responsible for capturing engineers from Clan Hell's Horses and Clan Wolf, =RONIN= has bolstered their alliance and friendship within the ranks of the Ghost Bears and further elevated their status as dire and despised foe of both the whinnying, prancing ponies of Clan Hells Horses and the crotch-licking lap dogs of Clan Wolf.
It is unknown as to the extent of the connection to the surviving remnants of Clan Wolverine that =RONIN= enjoys, other than the rumours surrounding pilots being the very descendants of Khan McEvedy. However, it is suspected that it is in some fashion an autonomous mercenary intelligence gathering unit for the survivors of Clan Wolverine.  As to the extent to which Clan Wolverine has prospered since their supposed Annihilation, very little is known.  However, if a rogue band of mercenary pilots is anything to judge their operational strength by, then perhaps the threat posed by the possible re-emergence of Clan Wolverine is minimal...perhaps.

Thanks AoP for putting that up so quickly for us!  We really appreciate it.  As for the "site", it is a functional aspect of our operations and will be replaced relatively soon.

We have 13 members so far and hopefully when this launches that will grow.  We are interested in hosting a server for this game as well and are working on trying to put that together.  We are all really looking forward to this game and hope more clans and merc units register and post up here to garner even more support for it so it will truly thrive.

You are more than welcome to stop by our house then Wolfsbane, so we can get down to some good ol' fashioned grudge matches!  We will be staring you down in some cross hairs for sure...heheh.

Thanks again MWLL for what you are doing for the community.  Your hard work and dedication will no doubt inspire some great battles and really fun games.

Take it easy.
