Are you not reading what the devs are saying? It is VERY close to the beta release, so just wait. My guess is a week or so, maybe. Just wait a little longer, bud.

if all youve been doing this year is waiting for MWLL than you have a problem.

Otherwise you really havent spent a year waiting for it at all, only those moments every once in a while when your thinking about it.

Youve prolly only waited like a day all told.   ;)

And time almost always correlates with quality. I think all the screens and vids prove that to be true here. Keep in mind a decent full game takes at least twice that long with many more times the resources these guys have!

But in all seriousness, I do sympathise with wanting to play.  If it helps you, what I do is imagine the Exodus Road from the Inner Sphere to the Clan homeworlds.  It's roughly a year to go there, and a year to go back without aid of a command circuit.  Just thinking about that, and imagining how much longer it took for the SLDF who didn't even know the way, allows me to remain calm and wait.

Though if they ever post a picture of my love the Summoner, I'll be joining the ranks of demanding it now  :D

We are all waiting; it's like being a little kid on Christmas morning, looking at the tree, while the adults are still waking up. From what I have seen, this is one of the more complex MORPG's in some time. Remember that the developers need to find every way to break it, in order to fix it, before they turn it over to us heathens to trash. (And I mean that in a good way guys!)

Just one line of code in the wrong place can cause the entire game to crash. These things take time. Which would you rather have? A shoddy product rushed to the market due to pressure from the public, or a polished work of art that is 99.9% bug free? Look how long Michelangelo to in the Sistine Chapel..

Me, I focus on more important matters.. Back in the 50's, we were all promised flying cars by the year 2000. Where is my personal Jet Pack?!!
I can’t promise that if you choose to fight, that there will ever be a victory, or a day that we can step down and say our work is finished. All that we may ever accomplish is to keep the darkness at bay, and hope that we don’t lose ourselves in the process. Maybe that is futile, maybe that is a losing battle. And maybe we are just delaying the inevitable.

But if by doing so I buy myself one more day…one more moment…here, with the people who matter…Then it has all been worth it.

Our lives are the sum total of thousand of choices. And the burden of that freedom is sometimes too much to bear. But you won’t have to do it alone anymore. We will find a better way.

Together.

Two Suggestions:

01. Offer your code/design/modeling/texturing abilities on a volunteer basis (just like all the other contributors to this project) and help move things along.

failing the above

02. Wait patiently with everyone else.  This project is being done a pure volunteer basis, it gets worked on when there is time available.

These sorts of rants do nothing to help the project and only serve to irritate the very people that are trying to bring it to completion.

Sounds overly optimistic although a week would be nice  ;D

I love the waiting. I can't get enough. Once the game comes out I will play it for 5 minutes, then put it down and start lusting for some other game that is 2 years over the horizon.  ;D
