Yup.  the UT3 engine is pretty nifty, if you can get over the price tag (20K?)  :o ::)  and the politics of Epic ...again  ::)

but yeah, should be a great improvement over an already well done game.

Does it compare to the likes of ARMA 2 though?

I wouldn't say that.  It's ArmA lite.  It only focuses on close quarters infintry combat for the most of the time, and some "realism" sacrafices are made in the sake of good gameplay, such as being able the strafe and slide to cover.  Which isn't exactly unrealistic, really.  Think of it as an objective-based CSS that's much more realistic in terms of balistics, etc and more "legitimate" scenarios you play in.

I still can't install it, servers are too busy.  Guess I waited too long and now people are slogging the servers for tomorrow's release.

Well they released a hotfix, which seemed to fix problems for some but not others.  Worked well for me, I completed all the training and played some online (when I could connect, servers are still slammed...).  It's fun if it doesn't lag and you figure out wtf is going on :D

Played a match between HUD-hacking sessions.  Still a lot of problems with their authentication servers, they SEVERELY under-estimated the demand that they needed to support.  However, when the game actually worked, it was very sweet.

played a few hours ... was boring as mowing the grass, and way too easy (10:1 + k/d was common for me).  I am not boastign either, because I generally am mid table in all other fps I played (cod4/w@w/tf2).

Played one map in an urban center.. the animation stances were great and the animations overall are cool.. but bleh. Didn't scream "I AM AWESOME" to me while I was playing... it's ok though.. great Counter-Strike alternative..
