I just hope it's 100% Simulator. Like MW1, 2, and 3. MW4 got a little simplified for me. I dunno, I dont think it pulled off the "sim" aspect of the franchise as well as its predecessors.
No Mechassault for me thanks.
Mechwarrior should be a game that requires dedication to get into. Not just a "run & shoot" first person or third person shooter that coincedentally involves mechs.
I loved all the weird little things that would happen in MW1, for instance. You could get heat sinks blown apart, and then no matter what you did, your engine temperature would slowly rise until your mech died. Also, your gyros could get hit and you'd just be stuck there, still alive, still with operational weapons, but unable to move - I beat a mission like this, because the enemy was still right in front of me, haha. Also, in order for you to die, your mech actually had to be destroyed. If your legs were shot off, you'd be on the ground, but you could still go into the command screen and order your lancemates into different positions on the map to attack different targets, and you could still win. I also enjoyed how you could shoot the head off a mech, and its head would actually dissapear. Likewise with legs, and arms. The torsos would just get all black if they were destroyed I believe.
Considering when it was made, I think MW1 was the best MW game. It felt really true to the BT universe, and did a few things newer MW games didn't. But, of course, I have very high hopes for MW:LL, because the devs are trying to stay very faithful to the original BT rules, which should make it very 'simmy'
