Welcome to June's second and the tenth overall weekly update by the team of the Crysis total conversion modification MECHWARRIOR: LIVING LEGENDS.

Another week, another update - no, not another update, it's issue 10 of the weekly update already. This time, we're bringing to you the fully textured four variants of the Inner Sphere's Raven with a highly anticipated piece of equipment, a look at one of SA_Sandblasted's bases and of course another set of playtest impressions.

Four Variants With Textures: Inner Sphere Raven

From the upper range of the weight spectrum in last week's Mech feature, we're going close to the lower end this week. It's the Raven, one of the Inner Sphere's light Mechs that's being featured. Not only does the screenshot below show the textured version of this quick and agile little guy, it also shows all four variants that'll be playable in the upcoming beta release. You might remember that there have been four variants of the Raven in an earlier 'Advent Calendar' shot - the variants below differ quite a bit from that. Among other things you should notice that one of them is equipped with a flamer: yes, it's working and will be there for you to play with.

Progress Report: SA_Sandblasted

From the rocky realms of SA_Extremity, we're back in the sandy, hot desert of SA_Sandblasted. The screenshot below shows one of the bases which has received a number of buildings and other assets to create a real 'military base' feeling in all pilots when preparing to move into battle.

Playtest Impressions

Again, here are a few pictures from this week's playtest.

Oh sweet, a flamethrower! Can't wait to see that effect.

That Atlas near the Longinus looks like he's about to tackle someone. :D

Is that platform with the 2 on it in the sandblasted pic the place where you buy aerospace vehicles?

Hi,
Awesome update again which we are fed here....

-The base is such a nice cosy place, looks really beautiful, just like a TrinaryStar of Clanelemtals might have left  it for a field exercise half an hour ago...xD
-Look at the Raven! he is such a cool light mech, because of its beak and I personally like the Variant 3Mgs&1ErPpc veeery much ^^^
-Playtest impressions shows us all non-testing people that this game will be seriously fine once itll be done ( brilliant ruby and green and blue lightbeams and some really impressive view from below an Atlas at ankle   (or maybe low-shin) height? ^^

all the more I´m sharp as nails for the beta to get launched xD

As always, great update :D

Two things caught my eye:
Is the pulse laser model new? IIRC it was the same as the beam laser models, on the 4 Raven variant, it seems to be more rounded and a bit shorter.
And those blue sparkly balls in the Inferno playtest pic look kinda like MW2 PPC shots, so new effects for PPCs or something else?

OH NOES! Are PPCs going to be slow moving like in MW2? Now im worried  :-[

Anyways, things are looking pretty normal for the updates, everything is so great... again!  ;D

Love the raven designs. I like light mechs alot personally, the owens is toward the top of my favorite list so it's sad seeing it get taken apart by that elemental... but it looks great!
The Mauler looks really nice in action as well.
All of my posts are of my personal opinions unless obviously otherwise.

Is the plan for all mechs to be a gray colors?  If so, will it be easy to tell friend from foe (via the HUD or some other mechanism?) The models look great, and individually the textures look great too. I'm just concerned in a crowd it will be hard to distinguish who you need to target because everyone's mech is the same color.

What you see in the Inferno shot is an early explosion of the PPC. They are not balls like MW2. They are more like a hybrid MW3 and MW4..

Why does it look as if the Battle-Armor is about half as tall as the Atlas in that one picture?
Also, like the Awesome blasting the Purple Menace away. But even if it does look cool, don't load up your AC's completely with Tracer-Rounds ^^

It's called perspective :P
And the Longinus isn't standing on the ground, it's in the air, look at the feet ;)

What you see in the Inferno shot is an early explosion of the PPC. They are not balls like MW2. They are more like a hybrid MW3 and MW4..

Hmm...

If both a) are early PPC explosions, what did they hit?
Looks like they are blue sparkly balls flying through the air to me, like MW2 PPCs, that's why I mentioned it...
Highlander is the one who thought they were slow-moving :P
b) looks more like like a PPC explosion, but what do I know? :-X

All three are explosion stages of the PPC. They all hit the ground or the rocks.
