zonematch isn't a viable option for MW4 anymore, mektek has a zone of thier own up for MW4 called mek match. Just alittle FYI.

Yeah you need mektek servers, otherwise you wont be playing online, also will need Mekteks added stuff "mechs, weapons, and maps" Then helps to download other maps too as some servers run diffrent stuff but they have them set up to offer the downloads online. I just learned all this yesterday when I reinstalled and went back into mechwarrior. I found a group of players blowing the hell out of eachother like old times... only I sucked and they didnt.

Yeah, you guys just coming back are gonna be frustrated playing some of the people that never stopped. Some of us have been playing pretty steady for the past 9 years.

No disrespect intended, but doesn't NBT play thier own version of MW4(NBT-HC), meaning what you guys/girls play isn't the same as what MekTek is releasing(MW4 fully patched to MP3.1, which is mp3.02b with a auto-updater and mech packs unlocked)

I just talked to DK of eX, and he said those of us who have been out for awhile shouldn't be nervous. It's the same game it always was. It's like riding a 100 ton bike that can destroy cities, it'll come back to you.

Yes sir we do. But it's not hard to install at all and while HardCore is installed you can still boot up in either Mektek 3.02b or Hardcore at your choosing with ease through the NBT Hardcore Updater program. Sounds misleading, but it gives you two options on the updater: Play Hardcore or Play Mekpak 3.02b.

that is true, the game still plays the same, just a bunch of new mechs and weapons have been added. It is like riding a bike.

Wait why Mektek Verison whatever? Why not Version 3? I got the Version 3 from mektek, went online, then couldnt get the maps ended up downloading and installing NBT HC or whatever to get the maps, THEN! I worked ok, till this one server where I didnt have the maps and it give me a link to the maps, so that worked out ok... now I run Mektek with a Clusterfapp of everything else. An NOW I need to download the new version Mekteks is makeing so I can get the Pak mechs cuz I dont have them and I want the Warhawk. Its a Madcat only 10 more turns to play with!

We played a few games of MW4 over at CHH but for some reason the last time I tried to log on I could not connect to any of the servers. The other clan members connected OK and played for a couple hours. I have not had the time to figure out what changed on my system or router that prevents me from joining a server.

I have a similar issue with MW4Mercs! I can see all the servers running with my version of the patch, yet when trying to connect, the connection times out Port forwarding and opening all ports on my OS does not help.
